So, my characters live in an area where it is a winter wonderland in the winter and the best place to get a tan in the summer, it has to be more realistic because the story takes place in modern day times. I'm thinking canada somewhere but i don't know
What should my Characters town be named?
canada's okay. maybe take a look at a belt map and search for countries in the mild temperate zone

maybe look at towns in Washington and Oregon, I've lived in both states and most towns are exactly what you described :)
