Btw, have you guys heard of Michael McCreary? He's an aspie comedian. I enjoy his stuff a lot, 10/10 would reccomend.

I actually haven't got it officially diagnosed either but that's just because I don't want a diagnos to mess up my chances of getting a job and stuff in the future

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding something here, but I'm pretty sure you don't have to disclose that information to any (potential) employers. Having a diagnosis shouldn't necessarily hurt your chances of finding a job.

Idk I think that it would be in my files and stuff?

I'm not really sure what files you're talking about. If you're talking about a medical record, I've personally never had to give any medical history to my employers, but I guess that could depend on what field you're in though. Thing is though, even if you did have to give your medical history and it did come up, a lot of places have laws in place to prevent discrimination towards people with disabilities. Say you were applying for a job, and it did come up that you're on the spectrum; the employer wouldn't be allowed to deny you a job solely because you have a disability.

What are the usual stuff aspies/autistics talk about? (I have only talked to one aspie in real life and he definitelly is something else, the guy´s crazy…)

Ha, we usually are a little. We tend to have a very monotropic mindset, with a small range of interests within that circle so don't freak out if we only talk about certain things for hours on end. Also, social skills? Fuck those, never heard of them really. Also it's a common thing that auties/aspies seem apathetic but we aren't, we just don't express our feelings well.

It's kinda different for every autie/aspie, interests. We're like normal people really, there are ones who like Marvel, others DC, etc. It just depends on the person.

@InfiniteDream

I don't talk a lot. I don't talk about my interests much because I don't know where to start. I like it when people ask me questions about my interests, though.

I mean, I have problems even thinking about a good conversation topic… and I feel like I "talk" more this way that actually using my voice…

Anyone into comics? ships? (wait no that could probably start a war) weird biology related stuff?

person_off
Deleted user

I get that. I'm more talkative but I'm still more likely to be the wallflower of the conversation unless I'm infodumping about something a really like. This is how we'll get six hour rants about Doctor Who from me even when everyone else left the conversation but idk.

All of those, yes.

Not a huge comics person, unless we're talking about the Star Wars ones in which case I 100% am. I need to read more though, so far I've read the 2 Kanan ones, the Leia one, and the first in the main series, and I'm almost caught up on Doctor Aphra and Poe Dameron.

Am I the only one who genuilly has a good idea on how "realistic" fish people would be like? (random crap that doesn´t let me sleep at night…)
