Civilization has been well existing nine thousand years. Humanity had shifted to primarily solar power, harnessing the raw power of the sun to achieve technological wonders. Three thousand years ago, a massive earthquake led to a chain reaction of a volcanic eruption. Two thousand years ago, another occured. The debris in the air was once endless, but it is finally settling. Rudimentary machines work endlessly to purge the air and the atmosphere. Organizations desperately try to restore faltering populations of animals and plants. This is the first generation in centuries to grow with blue skies.
