Suddenly an alarm started to screech.

Ben jerked up and looks to the red lights flashing on the ceiling.
Cage scoots close to him.
"Man, that scared me."
Val jumped out of bed as the alarm blared. She looked around frantically trying to figure out what's going on.
Hush flopped out of bed slowly. "Already?"

The door to the seventeen year old's room swings open. A slim, red haired female stands holding a clipboard. She straightens her glasses and reads off a name.
"Cageually Azil Stan? Aka, Cage. Please step forward."
Ben glares, but remembers the rules.
Cage nervously steps forward and she violently grabs his wrist and takes him out, whispering to him, "just tell them you were confused."

The alarm abruptly turns off and Hush watches the door patiently.

The door slams behind the red head.
Ben stands still, his hands and jaw clenched. He fumes silently for a moment.
Five minutes. Ten minutes.
Val let out her breath when the alarm stopped. She had no clue what had happened but hoped that it was all over.

Val's door slams open and Cage is shoved in. The door is violently shut behind him and he sheepishly waves at Val.
"Umm, hey."

Ben turns around and sits on his bed. He puts his head in his hands and angrily stares at his blankets through his black curls.
Val looked at the boy confused. “Hi?” She said before sitting down on the bed.

Cage leans on the door behind him.
"I'm Cage. Cage Stan."
“I’m Valentina but you can just call me Val.”

He nods, his fluffy hair bouncing a bit.
He bounces over to the bed across the room and plops down, smiling.
"Sooooooo…. Do you know why they have us here?"
