Hydrox stood in his spot, continuing to tower over those around him. Well, when you're nearly 7ft, 8in., you were a bit hard to miss. Another demon had snuck around, or so it had thought, to only be caught with a vicious kick, sending it flying backwards. The male shook his head, giving a soft 'tsk'.
"Think again ugly. Like hell I'm gonna let any of you little bastards get close."
He glanced down to where Sakuya was still cowering. The man gave the female his kind smile, "You'll be alright hun. You know this shit is just a 'walk in the park' for me."
A second Character Chat? Why the hell not!

Isla had heard Hydrox and nearly choked on the laugh she tried holding down. She flung herself into the middle, breaking her spear into two separate spears, then jabbed them into the ground. Pure energy sizzled in the air and crackled along the ground, breaking apart the shore and killing every demon within a mile radius while healing any allies who needed it. The royals were breathing heavily as they surveyed the area, stretching their senses to look for any more. They found none.
Cinthia glared at Isla. "You told me not to do that!"
Isla shrugged, hooking her spears over her back. "I know how to manage my mana well. I still have a big chunk left."
His expression changed for a millisecond, and then he went back to fighting, a thin line of blood dripping from the right side of his mouth.
((I have an idea
group
(er, there are no demons left…)
group
(what's that?)
((Since none of this is canon in your story, what if Runner is somehow related to that demon general, and that's why he can do such an unorthodox style of magic?
"Aaawww, and here I was hoping for a Brute Demon class to show up," Hydrox released a sigh.
As the last of the demons seemed to retreat back, what was left of them, the tall male allowed his gaze to shift around. His eyes were a swirl of blue and yellow, the pupils remaining thin slits.
"Well, that was one hellva show, kinda wish I showed up earlier. Oh well."
Hydrox ran a hand through his hair, glancing down. A slight frown appeared on his face, lightly taking hold of the trembling Sakuya, and standing her on her legs. The woman lightly leaned against him, form shaking uncontrollably.
"You alright? Gave you quite a fright didn't they."

((That's not a bad idea))
Magnus gasped and scrambled back from the water. Rhydar was quick to react, pulled his little brother to his feet and back away from the shore. The royals grew tense, barely contained magic flaring from their bodies.
"He's here," Magnus gasped.
He was a grotesque mix of reptile, canine, and human with patches of both scales and furn along his body. A line of long and gore-covered fur covered his back and animal-like paws for feet. Scales ran up the rest of his legs, merging with the furry feet. Multiple horns protruded from his head of long, blood stained, black hair. Malicious tattoos snaked over whatever pale skin was showing. A long tongue ran over a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. His grin and wide red eyes revealed his sick mentality.
Beside him, two people clawed their way out of the ocean. They resembled zombies, their flesh pale and bloodless, eyes wide and unblinking, slashes across their bodies from where they received their killing blows.
Cinthia ground her teeth. "Kali. Ketu."
((And also the huge gap in his memory
group
((We have to figure out a way his heritage is revealed))
((The general trying to turn Runner to his side?
group
((Sure, that would also explain why he keeps following Runner instead of outright killing him))
((Revealing a bunch of shut in a super dramatic format?
((Indeed. ooooo, we can give Runner some wings or something

Wolf noticed the two people on the sidelines and carefully made his way over to them. "I suggest taking her somewhere safe. Shit's gonna hit the roof pretty soon," he advised the giant man.
group
((Yeah, after Agdrin reveals his heritage and his lost memories))
((Mhm!
Hydrox turned his head, body instantly growing tense. A low rumble seemed to emit from him. The male's skin seemingly rippled, becoming scales for a moment, but then returning back to normal. Instinctively, he lightly moved Sakuya to stand behind him. His eyes started to glow brightly again.
"Wow, I've seen a lot of ugly critters in my time, but damn, this one might be the ugliest."
That was Hydrox. Despite the obvious danger, he was clearly not phased, but more so ready to move, should he need to. He was starting to think if things kept going the way they were, he would indeed have to reluctantly show his true form.
His gaze shifted to the one who approached. Hydrox gave a soft snort, "Like hell I'm gonna back down…these things this close to home, not gonna put up with that shit."
Runner was too bust dealing with 3 converging demons at once, barely twisting away from a slash and slapping the flat side of the pan across the one on his right side, knocking it to the ground.

Wolf eyed the flash of scales but said nothing about it. Instead, he ushered Alex to the sidelines. "I said the girl. I'm well aware you aren't going to go anywhere. You look the type," he said to the giant man.
Something inside Cinthia had snapped after seeing her top three enemies–two of them newly resurrected by Agdrin–and she was clearly fighting an inner battle. A giant, transparent entity standing above her flashed in and out of visibility as she clenched and unclenched her fists.
He quickly dispatched the other two, starting to breathe heavy.

Agdrin and his two companions watched them all. Patient. Kali and Ketu stared down Cinthia, who was still holding back her true form.
Agdrin slowly clapped as Runner killed the demon stragglers. "Well done, my boy. It seems you are quite proficient already. Won't be long until you will be able to take down the Vanguard."
Hydrox glanced back, his voice was soft, "Sakuya, why don't you move back with the others. It'll be safer there. I'd say make a beeline for the water…but ugly 1,2, and 3 are currently blocking the path for ya. If it comes down to it, try to get them back to the Inn. Miriam should be awake."
The female gave a nod, starting to limp back. Her crippled left leg was really acting up for the poor woman. She nearly tripped, but caught herself, moving as quickly as she could, following to the side.
As for Hydrox, his gaze shifted back forward. Sure, this wasn't his fight, had nothing to do with him, but what with these weirdos showing up on his 'doorstep', so to speak, he wasn't gonna let it slide. This was all happening too close to the village, the place he came to call home.
Should these weirdos draw too close, he would then step in…

Wolf sketched a spell on Alex's skin. "There. A protection ward. You should be fine with this."
"You're what?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
((How about some mind control, where he actually does take some of them down. Not kill, but injure, obviously
