a fun idea I decided to do to help me develop my characters more
you can ask the hybrids questions and they will answer to the best of their ability!

you can ask these hybrids questions:
Vorex - a half dragon hybrid. he's 18. he dislikes just about everyone. a salty boi.
Apophis - a naga. he's 5. a precious bean. he will love you.
Nomius - a half bull man, like a Minotaur, but his legs are the cow bit, above that he's a man. he's 25. a kind boi. will give you a hug, but might also snap you in half.

ask them anything, although I ask that we keep Apophis' innocent mind, well, innocent

Lorrehlyl walked up to Nomius, summoning her light magic so it swirled around her hands, almost like fire.
“Do you know how to get rid of a light magic rune?” She asked, keeping her expression passive.

Nomius hesitated, thinking of an answer. "I… can't say I know how. runes and spells were never my specialty, the fairy hybrids were in charge of things like that… my best bet would be to attempt to physically break it"
he gave a light shrug and an apologetic smile.

“How am I supposed to physically break this?” She said angrily, holding up her right hand. On the back a complicated rune was carved into her skin as an old scar.

Jake walks up to Vorex and sets his elbow on his shoulder, getting overly friendly with him already "So I heard you were a dragon hybrid and honestly if that isn't the most badass thing I've heard all day then I don't know what is." there was a long pause on Jake's end before he started up again "So can you turn into a full dragon? Or like, do you have some really cool powers or something?" he asked, being a hella curious boi

Lorrehlyl rolled her eyes.
“If you think being half dragon is bad***, then you obviously haven’t used magic in your lifetime.”

Jake glances at Lorrehlyl "Yeah, no, I haven't because I'm actually human. I'm not some cool half mystical creature like all of y'all. Besides, I really like dragons. There could be other cool magics out there but I personally think dragons are awesome"

“I’m human too. Do you even know what magic is?” Lorrehlyl stared at him condescendingly.

"I'm sorry! that's really all the help I can offer, maybe you could break your hand? or uh, cut the scar?" Nomius is really trying his best to help her, but he's got nothing.

meanwhile Vorex growled and shoved Jake's arm off of himself. "for one, don't touch me, I don't like you." he then huffed and crossed his arms before continuing. "and two, no, I can't turn into a full dragon… I think. but I CAN breathe fire, so keep your distance." overall, he was ignoring their argument because he didn't care.

Jake finally put all his attention on Lorrehlyl, a slight smile on his face. "No honey, I clearly don't know what I'm talking about, but you sure do so please educate me" he said sarcastically. Jake turned back his attention to Vorex when he rejected his friendly gesture. He chuckled and held his hands up defensively. "Alright, alright. It's all cool. No need to get all violent on me" It took a second for Jake to get bored. Then he dramatically sighed and put his elbow back on Vorex's shoulder again. "Look, can we just be friends? You're a dragon, I like dragons. I feel a mutual connection here~" he smirked.

Lorrehlyl stared at Jake. No one disrespected her like that. No one. She summoned her magic, white fire swirling around her hands, and raised her hands upward, summoning giant tendrils of magic from the ground. The tenticales grabbbed Jake. They are hot to the touch, and burn his skin with white hellfire. Lorrehlyl summons another tendril, and it stabs Jake, sucking away at his life essence.

Vorex huffed in annoyance at Jake, but didn't make an effort to remove his arm again. he figured it was pointless.
"there is nothing mutual about liking anyone here." he then tried to threaten him a bit by preparing some fire, but only managed to make some smoke come out of his nose and ended up with a small coughing fit.
terrifying, isn't he?

and then the lady stabbed Jake, which was uncalled for.

Apophis, who had been in the corner the whole time, bit her ankle out of fear and then slithered to Vorex for safety. the small naga was in fact venomous, which caused Nomius to freak out once the child had bitten the lady.

Jake laughs through gritted teeth, a sort of pained look on his face. He may have taken his sass a bit too far. "L-look- ow!" He cried out when he was stabbed, as if the burning sensation wasn't enough. "Relax dude!! I genuinely meant it! I have no idea when it comes to magic- Fuck!!" He said, struggling through the tentacles. He gasped as the burning got even more intense. Jake tries to fight against the thing that's got him all wrapped up but feels weaker as he does so. "I'm sorry!!" He blurts out when he can't take it anymore.

“You think I’m looking for an apology, mortal?” Lorrehlyl spits the words out, almost as if something inhuman has taken control of her. The rune engraved into her right hand begins glowing and pulsing with an ominous red light, and she immediately cries out in pain, letting the tendrils dissipate as she clutches the rune, anger in her eyes. Jake drops to the floor.

Nomius, the closest thing to a peacemaker, immediately checks to see that everyone is alright.
no one is dead, so that's good, but he was now worriedly glancing between the two strangers in nervousness.
"uh, how about, um how about we don't attack each other?"

Vorex, on the other hand, gently kicked Jake with his foot. he was actually a little worried, but kept a blank face. "you good?" it was hard for him to look uncaring with a small naga boy attached to his leg, but he tried anyway.

Jake, still not moving from the floor, points at Nomius. "What he said. Honestly that sounds like an awesome idea, I don't know why we didn't suggest it before." there it was again the clear sarcasm in his voice, more directed at Lorrehlyl, but he made it sound like it wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Jake flinches when Vorex taps him with his foot, tears swell up in his eyes, he was clearly being overly dramatic. "You didn't even try to help me! You're all so mean! Except for that little guy, he's the real one" Jake said looking at Apophis and smiling sweetly.

Lorrehlyl was clutching her hand, her eyes closed. White magic swirled around her hands. Stop this demon! Stop it! she screamed in her mind. Tears slid slowly down her cheeks.

Nomius gave an awkward smile to Jake at his sarcasm and then proceeded to check on Lorrehlyl, who seemed to be not ok. he nervously flicked his tail before speaking in the most gentle voice he could muster. "do… do you need anything? something to help? or uh, are you ok?"

Vorex just rolled his eyes at Jake's display of dramatics and plopped onto the floor to sit beside him. after having removed Apophis from his leg of course. "well you don't seem weak to me, so i'm sure you're fine."
he then awkwardly pat Jake's head as he continued. "besides, if I tried to help, I probably would've also been stabbed"
Apophis, being five, basically just screamed at Jake once Vorex stopped talking. "Hi, you're really cool!!"
the small boy then proceeded to flop onto Jake's legs since Vorex wasn't having it.

Lorrehlyl collapsed onto her knees, pain radiating throughout her entire body. She screamed. In her minds eye she saw snakes slither and cool around her body, burying themselves into her skin.

Jake smiles widely when Vorex sits beside him. "I am many things but weak isn't one of them~ Besiides, a little burn isn't that bad" he said lifting his arms which looked pretty bad. Jake blushed slightly when Vorex surprisingly patted his head. He looked over to him slowly then laughs. "Oh no, yeah that would have been bad. So you're basically like a human just with a few unique qualities? Or do you have super strength or something?" Jake was about to say something else but Apophis introduced himself first. Jake giggled at the little kid's enthusiasm. Jake tended to act really childish sometimes so he immediately took a liking to the little guy. He sat up casually when Apophis took ahold of his leg. He side smiled. "Well thanks~ I think you're very brave~ What's your name?" Jake asked, then realized that he didn't know the other guy's name. "Oh that's right, you too, I still don't know your name" he said folding one of his legs up for more comfort. He rested his arm on his bent up knee as he waited for the anwer to come but then heard a chilling scream. He whipped his head in that direction and saw Lorrehlyl on her knees. "Yo, is she gonna be okay?" He asked starting to get concerned.

She thrashed on the floor, tears sliding down her face as she sobbed and screamed. Her screams were unintelligible for the most part, except for a few words. Nijçs, let him live, coils, snakes, blood…
