"Dino nuggets!" she says, delighted. "I've heard of these only in passing from demigods who ascended from the mortal realm."

Kathy smiles, nodding. “Its more of- chosen family. I was born an only child.” He chuckles, “I found my brother out in the woods alone. So I took him in. Well- he followed me home-“ he smiles brightly, a fond look in his eye.
(I went back and read about character descriptions and unless I'm wrong…………… HOLY COW KATHY HAS A ROSE FOR AN EYE?!?!?!?!??!?!?!)

Phoenix jumps, then stares in disgust at the misshapen, flakey brown lumps in front of him.
"First of all," he states with vehemence, "This is not chicken. Second," he turns to Kathy and gives the man an understanding nod, "My family's kinda… chosen too. I…" his voice trails off, and he drops his gaze, frowning at the floor, "I… I have no idea if I have… blood siblings."

Phoenix jumps, then stares in disgust at the misshapen, flakey brown lumps in front of him.
"First of all," he states with vehemence, "This is not chicken. Second," he turns to Kathy and gives the man an understanding nod, "My family's kinda… chosen too. I…" his voice trails off, and he drops his gaze, frowning at the floor, "I… I have no idea if I have… blood siblings."
"But- I got them for you!" Rayla whines, giving the man the largest puppy dog eyes he's ever seen.

Phoenix's eyes widen as the ultra-powerful demigod girl pouts at him like a kicked puppy. He… He couldn't say no to that.

Danica freezes as she stares at Kathy with an odd expression.
Kathy glances to Danica, “What’s that face for?”
Kathy takes a moment, “Yeah bud, I get you…my blood family passed away. So i found another one.”
Phoenix laughs nervously, "Sorry about that. But at least you know. I'm not even sure if my blood family is dead or alive," he knocks a knuckle against his head and gives a strained smile, "Amnesia. Love it."
Rayla squeals happily once she sees Pheonix's face change.
"You'll take them?"
Phoenix bites his lip, "I'll… give it a go."
(Y'all be patient with Phoenix, he's trying to hold two conversations at once, lol)

Kathy glances to Danica, “What’s that face for?”
"I just….. I…….. your rose……… I'm sorry it's been bothering me this whole time– what's your backstory?"
Kathy pauses, “I-“ he huffs. “I have no idea really how I got it. One day i was just working out in my garden, tryna get away from my stepmother, and a few weeks later i started feeling pain in my eye, then i went blind. And when i found a mirror, i saw this thing. Then i just- went insane from all the damn abuse my stepmother was doing to me.” He shrugs, “So i killed her.”
Phoenix chokes on a dino nugget.

Rayla looks over at Kathy, having heard his short little story.
"Oh- shit- um, I could bring her back as many times as you want so you can kill her until you feel satisfied-" she says quietly.
Danica stares for a moment at Kathy before gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry."
