Wren probably would have gone unconscious if the mention of being taken away became reality. He couldn't go with her. At being tossed, his soul bobbed gently in the water despite the boy it belonged to having an internal panic attack. He wouldn't die, but he was far from in the clear.

"Y-Yes, Mother…" Marcos said quietly. The woman huffed, and in a moment, she was simply gone. Marcos reached out, scooping Wren up in his hands and pulling him close. Derlik hesitated, before leaving himself. He didn't need to be here. He needed to check on his son.

At that moment, Derlik had come up behind him, tackling him in an embrace. He barely had time to move Blake out of the way before he got squished. "You're okay…" he cried.

Wren's mind was far too addled to comprehend that things were okay at the moment. He honestly wouldn't mind being put in stasis a few days to give both him and Marcos time to calm down.

"I'm okay," Derlik said softly, tears pricking in his eyes. He had been terrified, terrified when Mother was yelling at him, that she would bring Kye up. The god held Kye tight to himself, not letting go as he shivered at the thought.

Marcos looked down, concerned by what he saw going on in Wren's mind. He… he had promised himself he wouldn't, but… Wren needed time to process. So, placing his hand gently over Wren with a silent apology, he sent Wren back into stasis. Back into his jar. _{(No. escape.)}

Kye embraced his dad tightly, crying softly into his shoulder. "I don't know what I would have done if you or Wren died…" he whispered, still having no idea that Wren had been badly injured because of Derlik. He only knew that people were hurt… but not why.

For some reason, Wren should have guessed this would happen. He needed to watch what he wished for. But to be fair… it was better than being awake. His mind was so messed up and shaken. He was healed externally, but not internally.

(I mean, with Astral's track record of that with Simon and Marcos… it's not hard to guess what kind of Jar it is :) )

Derlik ran his fingers through Kye's hair, his own tears falling.
"I… I'm so sorry for scaring you like that," Derlik said softly. He kept his little, precious boy close, shaking some. "It's okay now, baby boy. We're okay now, everything's okay."

Marcos just hoped being in stasis would help Wren's mind heal, if only a little bit. Helped him be able to process things when he came back out, that Mother's effect on him faded.

Normally, Kye might have made the joke that he wasn’t a baby anymore to lighten the mood. At the current moment, he just let Derlik comfort him as they cried together. He heard a vibration sound from his phone, but ignored it for now. Hugs were more important.

Derlik held Kye to honestly, letting out a soft breath as he slowly stopped crying.
"I've got you…" The god lifted away his head some, his fingers running through Kye's hair as he sniffled.
"I'm going to make sure this will never happen again, okay?"

Kye nodded, still teary eyed. Just thinking about Mother made his stomach do flips. He then looked to the side at Blake, feeling bad for abandoning them. He carefully took the smaller human into his hands and gave them a hug as well. “I wouldn’t want to lose any of you…” he whispered, referring to all the people he loved.

(Kye on a normal day is just like: haha constant cuddles are fun)
