Minus the breakdown, we've checked all the boxes–two young people having a nice meal, a heart to heart conversation, physical contact, getting along nicely, more than likely gonna see each other again." she ticked off each thing as she spoke.

He let himself go limp for a moment, thinking of what to do with a calm expression. He then, after grabbing a stray strand of magical energy from the air, sent a small bast of energy into her gut. It wasn't enough to hurt, but it loosened her hold on her neck just enough for him to slip out.
