Anna finished breaking out and dropped to the ground. "Ow. Maybe the survivors of other groups? Or maybe… what if… So some of us had Xed doors and some of us didn't, it has to mean something, like maybe the Xs mark who they think is going to survive? Or who isn't going to survive."
I'm bored so...Character Chat!
Tristan stared at Enderstorm's magic, "Cool I wish I could do that, " He said quietly
Lacie pushed her body weight against the glass
group
"X usually means death," Tess said, still crouching. Her arms were braced against her knees as she leaned forward. "Who all had Xs?"
group
"Ah," Tess looked up at their missing companion and did the same to her ball that she did for Anna's.
"I think it was you, Tristan, and Enderstorm."
group
She chewed on her lip. "Okay, that blows a hole in that theory."
"Does it? You and Tristan snuck out for food, right? And Enderstorm was flying at first, so you three have been the most… Let's say rebellious."
"O-oh," Tristan said surprised, "I had an x
group
Tessa shook her head, then drew a claw across her throat, cutting deep.
"Ah Tessa what are you doing!" Anna ran over, pulling a roll of gauze from her boot.
Tristan's eyes widened, "T-tess? What are you doing?"
group
The wound oozed a golden sap-like liquid, then closed up. Tessa wiped off the liquid and flicked it at the ground. Wherever the liquid hit, the ground sizzled. "See?"
"Is that…um…ichor?" Tristan guessed.
Lacie felt faint at that sight.
group
Tessa nodded. "Yeah. I'm an Immortal Demigod, only able to be killed by someone of a higher power level than me.
Anna just stared, eyes wide. "You didn't die…"
group
"Nope." She popped the P
"Oh cool!" Tristan exclaimed then sighed, "But that doesn't make sense. I was marked an X as well as you and Enderstorm. You two are both extremely powerful but I'm not."
group
"I don't know," Tessa said, then stood. She moved in front of them as if shielding them from something. "But what I do know is that someone's here."
"Right, so there has to be other criteria besides power. What do you three share in common that me, Lacie and Danny don't? or that the three of us share in common that Tess, Endie, and Tristan don't?" (She's Endie from now on so I don't have to type all that)
group
"Shapshifting?" Tessa offered, then snarled. A large leaf up ahead rustled.
The woods seemed to move for a minute before being completely still.
group
Tessa was as still as a predator. "This forest is a replica of part of my group's training facility. Where we test our skills in an unpredictable environment. Trees everywhere, poisonous plants, vines that can choke you if you're not careful… the like." She narrowed her eyes. "It's not easy territory."
Anna looked around, noticing the way the forest did seem foreboding. "We need a plan or something. If this is a trial, there has to be a way out for us to find. They want to learn something from us."
Tristan quickly stepped away from an ominous plant that was glowing.
group
"I'm going in," Tessa declared, muscled tense and ready to spring into the forest. There was a familiar scent she wanted to investigate.
"Can I come? I know forests very well." Tristan declared.
Lacie looked around trying to find something unusual.
"Um… I'd say be careful but you might be the only person who's done this before and can't die so okay." She turned towards the rest of the group. (I forget who's out of the balls or not so just assume everybody's on the ground now)
