Tessa waited until everyone was settled, then began. Her voice was soothing and easily rose and fell over the notes, drifting through the air as she sang.

Tears slipped down Enderstorm’s dark scales, and she rested her head back on her huge paws, a slightly different song playing in her mind, this one sung by her mother.

Tessa was passed out in the dirt, curled up in half dragon, half human, tail curled around her like a dog and wings acting as blankets.

Enderstorm cracked open one eye, and it widen as she saw the unfamiliar surroundings. She bolted up quickly, still in dragon form, and let out a burst of purple flame into the sky before remembering where she was. She sheepishly sat back down, making sure not to squash anyone.

(I just realized that while all our characters are just waking up most of us are going to bed now or soon)
