As he walked, the tunnel lit up and slow red beams of light started circling around lazily.

Tristan stepped away from the lasers confused and certain they weren’t safe.

Enderstorm peaked into the tunnel.
“Be careful Tristan!” She called out, before going and pacing, her tail twitching.

Tess sat on the floor, trying to not hyperventilate.

“I will!” He shouted back after figuring out the lasers were not safe.

Enderstorm looked at Tessa, concerned.
“Tessa, are you okay? You seem a little…” Enderstorm groped for the right word.

"Traumatized?" Tessa offered, making it sound like a joke.

Enderstorm hesitated, then shifted into a girl and patted Tessa’s back comfortingly.

Tess smiled at the girl thankfully. "Being underground is really grating on my nerves."

Tristan races through the tunnel dodging the lasers as best as he could, eventually he came to an open area with parkour going up and lots more lasers

Furball appeared in Tessa's lap again, cooing and chirping and affectionately head bumping her. She smiled and petted his fluffy feathers.
"Hopefully Tristan's alright…" Anna tried to avoid worrying, easily distracted by the adorableness of Furball. She couldn't see him, but she could hear him. He even made adorable sounds.

“What is that?” Her face instantly lit up as she reached her hand to pet it.

"Dang it!" Tristan said as he tripped over a laser and sparks shot out, "So…that's what happens. I gotta be careful."

Tessa held up Furball for Enderstrom to pet him. "This is Furball, a Gryph. They're basically permanent baby Griffins. His real name is Hazsada, which means 'ball of fur' in the language of the gods."

“He’s so cute!” Enderstorm gushed over Furball.

Tessa smiled. "He's technically a demon, and he's one of my friend's familiars."

Tristan continued the parkour, it was getting harder and more slippery as he went higher. He slid across the ice into walls and almost fell several times. His claws weren't helping whatsoever. Tristan growled as he slipped off one platform and fell to the one below, "AGh!" He continued up bruised from sliding around. He heaved deep breathes and made it to the top only to be met with parkour over a dark endless pit.

"Be careful Tristan!" Tess called, hearing his shout.
Anna paced around, too much energy for the small space.

Tessa made a few tongue clicking sounds, then stood and gently put Furball on Anna's shoulders, trading him for the newly arrived Moko. "Here, since I know he's your favorite."
She squeaked and grinned, reaching up to pet the tiny griffon. She sat down and pulled him into her lap, petting him happily.

Tessa smiled, happy to see she helped someone, and petted Moko as well, scratching beneath his chin. "If only I had some fries," she said wistfully. "Then you and I could play fetch."
