"Not that I don't have four hundred years of life to spend listening, but is there any short version? Maybe not how it works, exactly, but what does it do?"

Stardew nodded thoughtfully. "Dimensions. I can't say I can really imagine what that must be like, but are any of the dimensions hostile to magic? Like, what the world itself doesn't sap away the people will try to destroy?"

???: Hmm I don't know
????: We haven't Traveled enough to know
???: Yet

"Oh, that's fine. I was just curious, being a creature of magic as I am. My world, we have a barrier that separates the humans from the magical creatures and people. We run a fine tourism business, but only the humans in the fairy world can cross into the human world without either dying or losing a great part of themselves. The human world is cruel to magic, and saps it away. And I am sure you know the history of people trying to destroy magic in perfectly non-magical humans."

???: Well, Relthe just doesn't…work with magic I guess
????: The Rift prevent energy from entering that realm

Stardew shrugs. "Guess not. Is the Rift sentient, or something like that?"

???: No, or at least, I hope not

????: Eh… yes

Mizu and Ameria: Has no idea what's going on

Stardew seems to realize that Mizu and Ameria are there, and turns to them.
"Oh! Sorry, how long have you been there?"

The twins turn to face them
Both: Greetings

Mizu: The whole time…
Ameria: I just woke up though so I can't think straight…
Mizu: Hi…

???: smiles slightly

Ameria: Smiles back
Mizu: Holds her close

Stardew outstretches her hand. "I guess I might as well introduce myself again. Stardew Avalon, and you are?"

Ameria: Takes her hand I'm Ameria. And this is my girlfriend Mizu
Mizu: Stares at her

"Lovely to meet you both!" Stardew says, and then intercepts Mizu's stare. "I guess I do look a bit exotic to people who aren't aware of Alnaschari existing," she says, half to herself.

Mizu: No…I know what you are.
Ameria: Yeah…She's a demon…She was forced to learn all different types of creatures.

Stardew seems pleased that they know what she is.
"You're more well up than some," she said. "Why were you forced to learn different types of creatures, if you're a demon?"

Mizu: To see which were easier to enslave.

Stardew nods thoughtfully.
"So why are you here?"

Ameria: No clue. I like it here though.

Stardew: Yes, it is pleasant, isn't it?
She glances over the water.

Mizu: I guess?
Ameria: We need to get your emotions back.

Stardew glances back from her contemplation of the water.
"If I'm not being too invasive … why does Miss Mizu need her emotions back? Feel free not to answer me."
