No idea what to call this (anyone can join) (FINISHED)

"Seven called me nice, and super, and… but Phoenix is always, has always been the pretty one, and Seven loved her and not me, and I've never been… the centre of attention…" The words were falling out of her mouth like wooden blocks spilled by a kindergartener, clunky and awkward.

"Who's Seven?" He asked

Nyx opened her mouth, not sure of what to say. Her fists clenched on the table.
"He was my best friend," she said in a shaky voice.

"WAS? what happened?"

"H-he…"
Dang it, Nyx, don't get emotional.
Tears were sparkling in her eyes.
"He - he's -"
She couldn't get the word out. Her lips froze on d.

"He's dead?" He asked

Nyx bit her lip, shaking, and nodded. A tear ran down her face.

"Come here…" He hugged her.
"It's going to be okay…" he assured

Nyx closed her eyes and let the tears out, shaking like a leaf. Her hair was soft and smelled like Earl Grey and autumn leaves.

"It's okay.." He assured again

She kept crying.

He patted her back

Nyx sobbed for a few minutes, and then realised that she'd gotten mascara and eyeliner all over the front of Vozreal's shirt.
"Oh - oh," she said, sniffing. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I -"

"It's okay… I didn't like this shirt anyways…"

"Are you sure?" She hadn't even realised it, but she'd been gripping said shirt, balling it in her fists; tentatively, she let go.

"Yes, I'm positive."

Nyx sniffed. "I'm sorry, I just…"

"It's okay… really, it's fine!"

"I shouldn't be crying… it was a long time ago…"

"It's okay to cry…" He stated

She closed her eyes. "I should probably go to bed."

"Yeah… me too…" He said, yawning

Nyx reluctantly slipped out of his arms and stood there awkwardly. "Um… thank you."

"For what?"

"For…" She brushed a loose piece of hair out of her face. "Everything, really."

"Oh, no problemo!" He said, blushing

"Um… yeah." Nyx stood there awkwardly for another moment before hurrying off to her room.

He went to bed. It had been a long day.

Meanwhile, Nyx had changed into her nightgown and was sitting at her vanity, brushing out her hair and singing a soft song to herself.
