She raised her eyebrows. "Of sorts?"

"I am.. a part-time dream demon."

"Part-time?"

"Yeah. The types of demons are like jobs."

"Jobs?" She found that funny, and started to smile. "A demon is like a job?"

"Varieties of demons are. Being a demon in general is not."

"What varieties? Plumber? Fireman?" She was starting to giggle. She had no idea why she found this so funny.

"Yep. War demon, dream demon, electrical demons, etc… Hell has it's utilities too!"

Nyx started to laugh. Hard.

"You have a beautiful laugh." He said, loving her laugh

Nyx promptly shut her mouth and scowled at him.

"What now?" He scowled back.

His scowl was nowhere near what you'd call a "genuine" scowl, and Nyx laughed again.

This was the first time he had frowned, and if he frowns, you're in deep shit, or you pissed him off. you could feel it.

He went back to his smile, but it felt more… human now.
"I was never good at frowning/scowling…" He said

Nyx, completely unaware of that, grinned, propped her elbows up on the table, and put her chin in her hands. "You have a lovely scowl, don't worry, but I like your smile better."

"Brother always said to smile, because you're never fully dressed without one."

"I guess all those millenia of smiling led to this…" He said, before chuckling. He had a nice chuckle.
"Anyways, I'm starving!"

Nyx yawned. "I'm hungry as well."

"Shall we go to the diner?" He asked

"Diner?"

"We were going to the diner…" He said.

"What's a diner?"

"It's a place to go eat food." He giggled cutely

"I'll need to get ready." She was still in her nightgown.

"Same…" He said, changing into a even fancier suit

"Is it something I'll need to wear a dress to?"

"Nope! If you want to, you can!"

"I'll just go change, then." Nyx hurried upstairs to her room, returning a few minutes later in a jean jacket, a white T-shirt, jeans, and combat boots. She was wearing her usual black eyeliner and lipstick. Her belt was buckled around her hips. She looked, and felt, dangerous.
