kek: thinking out loud interesting. i would have subsituted the black soul gem for onyx, and mixed in a little of silver. demon souls work better, unless the person you're nightmaring is a demon. then you'd use an angel soul.

Yui: I've found a filled black soul gem works best. Obviously with the soul of the creature you're using. Silver works better against werewolves. Onyx… well, that's a preference thing. Usually, if i'm feeling exceptionally nightmarish, I'll throw in the onyx and some lich dust. Just for an added kick.
