Anyone else just kinda accidentally forget one of your main characters names? Multiple times?
Starting to think I should just go ahead and name him Jaehyun and not have to deal with the frustration anymore. (His name is Jeonghyun. Which I, constantly, forget.)
And then, of course, there's my antagonist, who I can only occasionally remember.
If it wasn't for this site, I'd have a book where every character but one would be called different things throughout the book by accident.
That happens to me all the time when I’m role playing on Notebook
Ok so sometimes I'll go through my cast of characters in my head, and I'll feel like I'm missing someone. I'll go through it again and again and then double check the character pages on notebook. I'm never missing anyone, but I still feel like I need another character even though I already have too many mains and another character would do literally nothing for the plot.
So I made another character that doesn't actually exist in canon. Their name is Phantom. They haunt the MCs, unseen, and narrate the story.
I also renamed one of my protagonists several times, and constantly call him the wrong names. And another one of my characters is currently without a name, so.

For me its more, "how the fuck do I pronounce your name?"
Gulnvelruso, Dosifei, Helluildi & Uumveterus…
My character goes by like three different aliases throughout the story - do I know which one she goes by at any given time? can I remember any of them? Even if I could remember them, could I spell them?

I once created a character (Lorreth) because I couldn’t remember how to spell the name of a completely different character (Lorrhelyl, probably spelled it wrong).
Ah, I have that problem a lot as well. But usually, I can get away with it by saying the main character has difficulty remembering or pronouncing it so they just shorten it to something that is easier so I'll only have to look it up when that one annoying person comes along who always uses everybody's full name. I'm also a fan of nicknames for this type of thing
