Is it weird that I feel like I'm God when writing? And not like a little g god, like a capital G God. Is it?

@Yamatsu

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: absolutely, no mere mortal should be able to comprehend that kind of power, yes.

But is it common to feel that way?

@Yamatsu

I'm not sure if it's common to feel like God god, but I also feel a bit of power in the sense that I can write my story however I want and there isn't anyone to tell me that I can't give my character super-laser-shotgun earrings (with cupholders, too!).

That's what I mean, it's only when I'm writing though

Well, you ARE technically the God of your worlds, so… No?

Not weird, no, and definitely not uncommon either in my experience xD

Not for me. I feel like I am a… mother?

I glory in giving life to something that I hope will grow, be nourished by me, and take flight.

So a caring God then?

Not exactly. I discover. I do not control everything. I am Frankenstein. I give some life and let it grow. I control some, but leave it all the room it needs to live.

No, not weird. You're making a world. You're making characters. You pretty much are a god, just of a fictional place.

Then again, I don't believe in god… But still.

Well, Neil Gaiman said something along the lines of being an author/worldbuilder/storytellers basically being able to play God, so I suppose you're not wrong.

Ah, yes. Mother Dom

@Oakiin

honestly, not weird at all ^^ I mean, you're literally playing God, so…
I would find it weird if you WEREN'T experienceing some sort of power trip, tbh

Last question:
Is it weird that the majority of my characters are LGBTQ+ in some way?
(Note: I'm not saying that it's bad to be LGBTQ+)

@Celestial-Burst

no! I don't see why not! Some people have the majority of their characters straight and cis lol. There should be room for the opposite! As long as its not like weird fetishization then theres nothing wrong with it.

^^^

Well it's a bit odd. But if they are in a Lgbt group or something it makes sense. But if they aren't it makes it weird statistically.

Well, characters are characters. You can't really help it if they're queer. I personally believe that as writers, our characters are just people in our head that yell at you to tell their story.

@Anemone eco

I agree.

Straight people are the only ones who think it's weird tbh

I feel like a combination of a vengeful god and a stressed mother. Like, I'm going to hurt you and kill you off and ruin your lives, but you're also my children and I love you all (well, most of you) and I want to hug you and give you chocolate. Won't stop me from tormenting you though.
Also most of my characters are queer, some people may think it's weird but if they've got an issue with it, there's a crazy amount of fully cishet books for them to read.

@Oakiin

Honestly, my characters are just diverse in general. I feel like, I don't have majority LGBT, but there's a wide rep from that community, plus a lot of rep from different cultures and such. Diversity is good, so keep on doing it :)

(Warning: Bluntness. You've been warned)
I swear this is it!
Is it weird for some of my characters to have big boobs? Like i'm a guy, and it's not the character main attribute, (I'm not a perv. On the contrary, I respect everyone and their privacy), But it feels strange to me, so is it weird?

Some ladies have big boobs in this world. As long as they're not unrealistically, ridiculously huge, and the characters aren't just objects used for some shallow romance plot within the story, I have no problem with it. That's just me personally. ^^

@Young-Dusty Thanks! I know there's some things that portray women with big old tonhongerekoogers cough cough anime cough cough, and they are treated like objects, and I didn't want to do that, so thanks again!

lol yeah even the best anime is often guilty of it these days, glad to hear you're not going that route. Glad to help!

I don't think its weird at all, irl everyone has different sized boobs, like im pretty curvy but some of my friends are super flat, so there's no reason that your characters shouldn't have variety in chest size. Lol that felt kinda weird to talk about but hope it helps!

@Oakiin

Nahhh, big boobs exist. Personally when writing I don't think about that stuff too much, but that's just how my brain works. I'm sure some of my characters are bigger chested.
