Eyamir probably. Before you ask I didn't realize it was Eowyn and Faramir's ship name until after I was attached to the name.

Kind of related, I saw someone online talking about giving people normal-sounding nicknames from weird names, so here's some of those.
Cassie (Casserole)
May (Mayonnaise)
Cali (Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious)
Liz (Lizard)
Tate (Potato)
Wren (Quarantine)
Cory (Coriander)
I think it would be hilarious to use some of these as background character names, or some other dimension where everyone has dumb names lol

I know, they're just so adorable and precious.

The beginning of The Steward and the King is what I read when I'm sad.

I was going to tease you for that but I read Henry V when I'm sad which is arguably more embarrassing-

Tolkien's version of fluff is ever so pleasant.

Oh yeah. I have a character named Parsley. Although to be fair, he was named by a seven year old

Indeed it is.

Odd. But not badly so.

@berlioz

Wees de Wees, but I'm thinking of anglicizing it to Vees de Vees. It's dutch for "orphan the orphan". As you can guess, he's and orphan.

Ooh! How did you come to such a name?

Ooh! How did you come to such a name?

His story takes place in late 19th-early 20th century Europe in a multi-cultural city with, consequentially, many languages being spoken. Since this boom town doesn't want an orphanage or kids running around the streets, he was basically dumped on two other MCs, Deppa and Dacry (no, not Darcy, and no, not Daquiri. Dack-ree. Probably my second weirdest name). Wees is a toddler when he's introduced, and since neither Dacry or Deppa are creative with names… well, orphan. The orphan.

@berlioz

Actually, I'm pretty sure I based Dacry's name off the latin for tear. I don't quite remember though.

Dude, this reminds me of my boy who got named water (Haidraqo) by his fisherman father. Y'know, because I couldn't bear to give all the squad new names after the dumb ones I did.

Tox. But its a normal name for that race. I also named one Nemo.

There's Jax. Which isn't a very common name for a girl.

That's pretty neat

I love that name! Jax was on the list of names I considered changing my own too.
