Inquiring minds would like to know.
Who is your most favorite character that you've written so far? and why?
I have to say Endel is currently my favorite. He's a blinker, which you heard me talk about when I answered your other question about races. He's pretty much the only blinker who follows the "stay in the stronghold" rule, and the only one who doesn't hat all humans. I mean, why hate someone who wasn't even part of the war? He's a complete book nerd, so the stronghold library is basically heaven. Though the silverfish are so nerve racking. (The little bugs are starting to grow on him though.) He also loves cooking. His favorite book is a cookbook that he spent months translating from human to blinker. He's very quiet, but he always steps up when needed. And, he's usually quite reasonable. Definitely my favorite.
Oh, wow! Okay…. my favorite character is my bb Enya. She's…. something else. I mean, she's a demonic priestess, but she's also a scientist with the ~equivalent~ of a killer French accent, a runaway, a poisoner, and, of course, a flautist.
I just…. She's SO complex!! I can't get over how awesome it is to write a character who places scientific discovery over all else. She gave up her life in a small town to serve as a priestess–not necessarily because she wanted to, but because it was the only place she could experiment without ~awkward cough~ getting executed. Plus, she's the prettiest little bronzed blonde that ever lived (in MY opinion). And WOW, I'm proud of myself for her backstory. I don't even remember coming up with it. It just sorta happened! Those are the best characters. :D
@isabel your story continues to fascinate me! if you ever do end up writing it, let me know! I'd love to read it.
@CinnamonRoll Enya sounds like a woman i'd love to be friends with! LOL! Is your story conflict her running from "the law"? Or just something else entirely? Because you have a kick ass smartypants babe and then you throw DEMONIC PRIESTESS into the mix and damn I'm hooked.
I know what you mean about having a character come out of the blue with a full story and attitude. Sometimes its just like they walk into your head expecting for their story to be told first.
@TinyZombieKat Thank you! I will!

I MIGHT CRY THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :DDDD
Oh gods, my favourite character so far was sort of a mistake. Immeril "Meril" Casilltenirra was SUPPOSED to be a throwaway side character, but then he went and got interesting on me. My boy's an elven noble who can't lift a moderately heavy book without wanting to die, the eldest in line to inherit his parent's title, and then he went and said "screw you" to them by selling his soul to a demon Lord for (more) magical powers. Because teenage rebellion, I guess, but then said demon Lord threw a half-feral demon at him and basically said "lmao deal with this brat".
Ooh, that's a good question. I think my favorite character I've created so far has to be Makeana (ma-KAY-na) Respont, the protagonist of my story "The First Responders". I think the reason why she is my favorite is because I mixed parts of myself into her and added characteristics I wish I had. She is fiery but also very calm. She is poised and graceful, but can be aggressive and passionate when she wants to be. She is very strong and goes through a lot of hard stuff from an abusive father to breaking up with her boyfriend to having a NDE (near death experience). I just really like how much I've been able to develop her as a character and watch her go through the struggles and come out on the top.
I have so many favourites that I feel bad choosing just one! If I had to choose, though, my favourite would be Cupid Juniper-Hayes. He's the songwriter for his twin sister Effy's band (though he's humble about it - he doesn't tell people). In this universe, everybody has control of an element (though some can be very vague), and his power is nature; more specifically flowers and the like. He is initially very shy and doesn't say much upon meeting new people, but once he trusts said people, he reveals himself as more affectionate and effervescent. He is, surprisingly very clumsy, especially with his magic; though I like to think that's just part of his charm.
Saelas Crestal. If he can respond to a question with a shrug, he'll shrug. If he can't respond to a question with a shrug, he'll probably shrug anyway.
My baby Himise, I created her so long ago and she's changed and grown so much from a two-dimensional basic ice queen to a struggling monarch in a whole world who's at war.
Guys isn't the character development of your favorite character beautiful??? Makes a mama writer cry. LOL :P
I must say, my favorite character (at the moment) has to be Allester Doran Eklof. He's one of my most developed characters and I've had him around for almost two years at this point. He is a psychologist from Sweden who has an odd obsession with demonic creatures called Obscuracles and lab coats.
I don't want to give too much away, since I like people discovering things about my characters other than me spoon feeding them the information, but I will say this: He is NOT a force to be reckoned with (ohoho! How surprising!). He is quite a weak person, standing at about 5'5 and being severely underweight, he's a mere pushover that couldn't even last five seconds in a fist fight. What he lacks in strength, however, he makes up for in attitude. Allester is known for his fiery attitude, but sometimes it can get quite out of hand, hence the occasional "tantrum" (as his colleagues like to call them). If you'd like to know more, just ask! Either way, I'll have his character sheet thingy up soon, so keep on the lookout for that if you want more of the juicy information.
I'm not sure who my favourite character is. Probably Liam, the older brother to the protagonist in my main series. I actually hate the protagonist herself, which is probably not the best thing XD
Hoo geez, that's a hard one to pin down. I actually really like both of the main characters, Catherine and Alex, but I also love their buds, specifically Shiori for the development I'm putting her through, Mottie for how funny it is to write a properly yandere character, Kyler and Zinnia for their individual personalities as well as their volatile friendship, Nero for his backstory and villain status, Nyarlathotep for how much of an evil fucker I can make him, and Lyssa because I'm in love with her relationship with Alex.
Nikolai Rosewood is my baby and I love him, despite the fact that he's such an asshole when you first meet him. He's just protecting himself from pain but, of course, I'm the only one who knows why at the moment and I feel like his character gets more complex and detailed as I go through the motions of scene writing/planning and ah, I just love my little ball of hate.
Iain, goes from happy-go-lucky teenager to deranged, broken and severely depressed murderer of an adolescent who suffers from severe PTSD, has a bad attitude and possesses the most charming Highland-Island accent you've ever heard.
My favorite character ive made is a girl names Zara Huston. She's modeled after my best friend in real life. Shes the BFF to the MC, Zay. They room together in the collage there going to, and there just so close!! She really helps me see all the awesome things in my IRL!
Zoe. She's a augur that is way to calm under pressure but in private has breakdowns
Her lover is married and her love interest may not be human.
Kalia Anzora has definitely been amazing to experience writing. Her story is so beautiful, and we get to see her go from broken and vengeance-bound to selfless and heroic. I didn't expect to get so wrapped up in her, but I feel that in a lot of books today, the "ideal" is a self-focused warrior-type character with no feelings and no concerns beyond his or her own life. Kalia starts out that way, but by the end of the book she's this amazing contradiction to that, and she stands out from other heroes in a way that makes me proud.
Carissa because Carissa
Oh gosh all of them??? It's so cool to get inside all their head, being several different people I've never been at once.
My favorites are probably all of the villains. I create the villains meaning for me to hate them, but I just LOVE villains for some reason!
My fave character right now is probably Triquallatinsis Omberallanmeseft, who's a blend of robot, spanish, english, and his story is set 2000 years in the future. He's the very first cyborg (half robot) on Earth. Took me a while to actually memorize his name.
Ughhhhh I don't know!! I love all my characters so much! I love my character Brielle because she reminds me a lot of myself (she's a fangirl/weeaboo), but I think my top two are Ginger and Sprite. Ginger is the protagonist of my Adamah universe, and Sprite is one of my deuteragonist for Prism.
Ginger is a fox with a curse on her turning her human. I love her personality and her curse makes it really interesting to write with her. I'm really proud of her backstory and I love her relationships with my other characters!
Then there's Sprite. She's a colonel in my story, and at first she appears to be cute, girly, kooky, and has a huge crush on my other character. But she has another side to her, which makes it really fun to write her. She's an absolute monster, and will kill you without hesitation if you make her mad. She also threatens other woman who get too close to her "Prince". The transition from loving to terrifying is what makes me love using her.
hmmmmm, I like my characters Ae'Zaheena and Joan Wardson.
Ae'Zaheena comes from a planet where things are still pretty simple and it's fun because she's discovering the bigger world that the galaxy is.
Joan's fun, quirky, and chatty. She's a jock that enjoys Kendo and Martial Arts. Also loves dressing smartly, makeup, and the color pink.
My favorite so far is Zander. I like characters who are cunning, maybe its the Slytherin in me, and Zander definitely fits that description. He has always stayed to himself and has become ignorant to social constructs because of it. Everything about Zander is dark both physically and mentally. He has long dreads, deep set dark brown eyes that appear black in the shade of the jungle trees that he calls home, and his ebony skin tone allows him to blend into shadows. He is manipulative and always finds the most inappropriate times to laugh.
My favorite is my character Edward. As I developed his ideals, prejudices, history, and overall personality, I came to adore him as a character and find him to be a wonderful person. A lot of characters in my stories have a strong foundation of being meant to challenge the reader's sense of right and wrong. I have a lot of fun and find it very intriguing to see what I can do with such morally ambiguous figures, and with Edward I feel I've really gotten it very right. He's modest, he's kind, he cares about people. However, he believes so strongly in his causes that he will sacrifice all of his wonderful moral ideals for them. When he sets his mind on something, he has no problem hurting others to achieve a goal he sees important enough. There are even certain types of people he considers plagues. These types of people are, in all cases, horrible people, but he takes it to an extreme in his ideas on how to deal with their behavior. Also he kind of, uh, used to be a warrior who slaughtered people for having religions and ideas different from his own and those who give him orders. Still being a soldier, he wills follow any order from a superior so long as it does not require sacrificing who he is as a person, such as if he was specifically ordered to rape someone. There is just so much to him, and I love him.
So many interesting characters in here, I'd like to see what happens when you put them all together.
