As the others started speaking to one another, figure stepped back. He listened quietly to those around him. It was something he did, listen and observe. Why had he even tried to intervene. Despite the mask covering his face, there was a slight frown behind it. If this reached back to where he was from, it wouldn't end very well for him.

Cinthia froze eyes darting back to behind her. Then she groaned and covered her face with her hands. "Turns out you were correct, Runner. Tess just got herself captured. By a demon general. Surrounded by a shit ton of demons. And not the friendly kind."
He felt the dragon on his arm move in silent rage, squeezing his elbow with incredible force. "I would have came with if you would have told me. Could've stopped that."
group
Cinthia flung her arms out in frustration. "She has an assassin with her that can become a hellhound, a spy who can raise and manipulate the dead, and a phoenix! I figured she would be fine!"
"Do you just not fully trust me yet?"
The figure continues to simply listen. Seemed there were creatures in this world that were like those back home, though probably with different appearances and the such. His single red eye was a soft glow in the darkness.

She rubbed her face and paced the area. "No, I trust you. But we're trained for situations like these, been to war and back, and Tess isn't one to go down easy." She ducked her head in shame as she muttered the rest "plus, I'm kinda banished here and stripped of my powers for the time being. Can't teleport to her."
He covered his face with his hands, letting out a slightly muffled groan of frustration.

Cinthia paused and waved her hands in the air like she was clearing cobwebs. "Ok, ok, ok. Lemme think. If the creepy guy in the shadows has any ideas, feel free to chime in"
"Where did you send her?" He asked. "And why?"
"Well, since I am already in trouble if the others from my world find out about me stepping forward and showing myself, I shall offer what I can."
The figure seemed to mumble another name under his breath, then spoke out loud again, "I may be able to take you to wherever it is your friend is."
group
"A world called Meyrus. Similar to Earth but more magic friendly. And dinosaurs. They still have dinos. Anyway, she's there to sniff out some info regarding our major enemy. Shouldn't have been too hard, since the camps there had been cleared out by others in our group. Guess I was wrong."
"Anything that would give me trouble?" He asked, already rolling up his sleeves.
group
She smiled grimly. "Demons and monsters."
"Happen to bring a staff?"
The stranger raised an eyebrow, "Hm…interesting, I have not heard of that world…most likely under the watch of another of my own…"
The male trailed off for a bit, but shook his head. His read gaze landed back on the woman. The dark energy swirled around him, his single red eye starting to glow ever so slightly.
"I should still be able to take you there, if you still wish to try and get there."
group
She pointed to the metal band on her arm. "In terms of weapons, I have Reaper, and that's about it. Don't know if it'll respond to you or not." She then turned to the figure. "If you don't know where it is then you won't be able to find it. Its hidden by its gods to keep it safe."
"Fuck…" he rubbed his face with both hands and sighed. "Whatever. We need to get there now. I'll pick something off when we get there."
The cloaked male simply shrugged. The glow of his red eye started to dim down again. The black pupil becoming rounder, showing his calm state.
"You said it was a 'world' yes," his voice remained monotone, "A 'world' is easily found, though an exact place is not so easy to find. However, if you insist that I will be unable to find it, then I will not push the matter."
group
Cinthia rubbed at her temples. "Just a single gem that can sustain a portal, even for just once, would be great right about now."
His eyes went wide, and he turned to her. "Throw some energy at me."
group
She blinked, then sketched out a foreign symbol in the air. A ball of pure magical energy replaced the fading symbol. It headed towards Runner
Runner seemed to take it in the chest, hugging it tight to his body as he stumbled backwards. He then appeared to be placing things on the ground in a wide circle. He put the last piece down, then stopped. A huge portal formed at his feet. "Is this the right place?" he asked, peering over the edge.
group
Cinthia peered over the edge as well. The opening hovered over a massive hill without any distinguishing features. However… An unnaturally large wolf wit dark flames acting as a mane stood on high alert. Cinthia smiled. "Not exactly what I was thinking, but it worked." She pointed at the wolf. "That's Fenris, our resident assassin."
"Well, let's go." He jumped through the portal, sprawling out on the ground because of the different angles of the portal sides.
group
Cinthia soon followed suit, though landing a tad more gracefully than Runner had.
The wolf whirled around, teeth bared and eyes aflame. It seemed to crouch over something, as if protecting it.
"Where is she? Where did he take her?" He asked, sounding a lot more aggressive than usual.

The figure watched as the pair jumped did whatever it was they were doing, then simply disappeared. The shadows and darkness around him seemed to swirl for several moments, then die down again. The cloaked male shook his head, turning. Seemed that duo had something else that needed to be taken care of, leaving him with the few others that had been left behind.
His red eye looked over those left behind. His eye landed on the girl who had fallen, who had kept the wendigo in place with whatever magic, it seemed to have been light, but one could never be sure. The cloaked male then looked at the others who were speaking softly to one another.
He couldn't really blame any of them. As they all had randomly crossed paths, complete strangers to one another. Though seemed all were moving and taking separate paths so to speak. No matter…

(Lol)
Cinthia rested a hand on Runner's shoulder. "Easy Tiger."
The wolf calmed at the sound of Cinthia's voice. It stood up straight, revealing a large white fox curled up beneath it. "She is in the heart of this camp. Demitri is down there looking while Rae scouts from above."
