Rantaro nodded as he left with Shuichi. "Let's go…" he said softly. "I'm sure I'll be fine…"

"I was trying to stop you from worrying…" Rantaro sighed softly. "I was gonna go get checked out… I was just saying that it's nothing major…"
“you're making me worry more though”
Rantaro glanced at him. "How so…? I'm typically good at comforting people…"
“ because you're not taking care of yourself!”
"I've been trying to… I promise I'll take better care of myself…"
“ then get this checked out.”
"I said that I would… Aren't we going to get it checked out now…?"
“ I think so,” he said and lowered his head
Rantaro nodded. "I'll get this checked out… A lot of it's probably just from not sleeping much…"
“ I know love..”
Rantaro nodded. "Shu, I'll be fine… If I'm sick or something, it's probably nothing… A lot of this truly is just how little sleep I've been getting…"

Rantaro fell into silence for the rest of their walk. He lacked the energy to think of much to say, so he saved what energy he had left to explain what was going on at his appointment. He didn't want Shuichi to worry, so he hoped that the other knew that he'd be okay.
“ taro.. I love you..”
"I love you, too, Shuichi…" Rantaro replied as they arrived at the hospital. "Now, I'm gonna go get checked out, and you'll see that I'm okay…"
“ okay..”
Rantaro sighed as he walked inside with Shuichi. "Don't worry, Shu…"

Rantaro nodded and stayed with Shuichi, even after a doctor came to see him. He wanted Shuichi there since he knew he'd need a bit of help explaining things with how tired he was.

"Well, to explain what's going on with him, it is mostly a lack of sleep," the doctor explained. "It's a prolonged issue of not getting enough sleep for months. He has slept during this time, but not enough. As for the extent of the fatigue and his loss of appetite, well, it appears that he's beginning to get sick, given his slightly elevated temperature, but it'll be nothing serious. He just needs to get some rest," he assured them. "As long as you don't mind caring for him, he should be better in a few days."

Rantaro smiled as he held onto Shuichi. "Told ya I'd be fine… Now let's go home…"
“ you need sleep. You're going to bed as soon as we get home “
Rantaro nodded. "I won't argue… I'm tired…" he yawned. "I need to sleep…"
“ then lets go home and sleep”
Rantaro nodded again as he started walking home with Shuichi. "Yep, let's go home."
