“ We should get back to class though?” he asked, not knowing the time
"Um, Shu, you basically slept through the rest of them," Rantaro told him. "It's okay, though! I let the school know about it, and it's all okay."
“What!? I can't skip school! Why didn't you wake me!?” shuichi was now flipping out
"You…you literally passed out…" Rantaro sighed softly. "Shu, I wasn't gonna risk your health or you collapsing again just so you could go to school. I already let the school know, and they're not holding this against you."
Shuichi stopped his pacing to look up at rantaro “ their not?”
Rantaro nodded. "Of course they aren't. You, as I said, literally collapsed and passed out. They sorta understand that you were in no condition to continue attending classes today."
Shuichi sighed and leaned against the wall, I really didn't think it was that bad..”
"Shu, how many times do I have to tell you that you passed out before you realize that it was, in fact, kinda bad…?" Rantaro sighed softly. "Please stop ignoring your health…"
“ like six?” he said softly and shook his head “ I'm not ignoring it, I just have more important things to do”
"Shuichi, that is what I'd consider ignoring it…" Rantaro sighed softly. "You need to prioritize your health before this happens again. It was bad enough today. I dunno what I'd do if this got worse…"
Shuichi lowered his head and kept his gaze on the ground
Rantaro walked over to Shuichi and pulled him into a hug. "Hey, no need to feel bad… I just want you to take care of yourself, that's all…"
“ It's hard, when so much is going on I forget about myself a lot..”
"So let me help you," Rantaro suggested. "I want you to be okay, so I can help you through this."
“ I.. Okay..” he whispered
Rantaro held Shuichi close to him. "You're gonna be fine," he assured him. "I'm here now."
“ thank you,” he whispered and held onto rantaro
Rantaro shook his head. "No need to thank me. I'm gonna look out for you. You're my best friend, after all."
“ I'm glad!”
Rantaro smiled at Shuichi. "I care a lot about you, you know. I'll always be here for you."
“ hey rantaro..” he whispered, “ I think I love you”
Rantaro blushed a bit at the sudden confession. "Good… I think I love you, too."
