Kaito sighed softly. With how difficult it had been for him to sleep recently, he wasn't sure if that would have the effect that Kokichi wanted. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his lover because of his refusal to sleep until he did, but he wasn't sure when he would end up sleeping again. It had been so difficult for him to.
Kokichi, I don't know when I'll sleep… I don't want anything to happen to you…
‘I won't sleep until you do.’
Kaito sighed softly at the response again. How was Kokichi being that stubborn about it? WIth how difficult it was for him to sleep, he couldn't help but worry that his lover's stubbornness here would result in something bad happening to him, and he didn't want that.
Kokichi, I can try to sleep, but please, actually sleep…
‘I will once you do.’
Kaito wasn't sure how much longer the argument could go on. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his lover, and he was worried that something would since he just couldn't get himself to fall asleep. All he wanted was for both of them to be okay.
I can't change your mind, can I? Let's just hope I fall asleep soon…
‘yeahhh…’
Kaito sighed softly as he laid down with his boyfriend, hoping that he would actually fall asleep this time. He stopped responding to the comment as he closed his eyes, trying to focus on sleeping in the hopes that he would actually end up falling asleep. After a little while, he finally found success as he fell asleep about half an hour later.
Kokochi kept his word and stayed awake till kaito passed out
Hours passed without much happening as Kaito's body was trying to make up for all of the sleep that he had missed in the past week or so. He appeared to be at peace as he was sleeping, so it seemed like everything would end up being alright. He just needed a lot of sleep at the time.
Kokichi ended up getting up and walking out into the halls, searching for the cafe in the school
Shuichi happened to be there, so he gave Kokichi a smile and waved at him to get his attention. He also walked over to him after a moment just to make sure that he knew that he was there. He figured that they could hang out for a while.
Hey! Do you want to hang out for a bit?
‘a..sure.’
Shuichi gave Kokichi a small smile, as he was happy to hang out with him as well. It had been quite a while since they had been able to do so, but he considered Kokichi a friend, so he decided that it would be nice for them to hang out again. It seemed like he was in a pretty good mood.
Alright. Did you wanna go anywhere in particular? And where's Kaito?
’he's finally sleeping and I don't mind where’
Shuichi nodded in response to the comment, relieved to hear that Kaito was finally sleeping. From when they were at school, he could tell that he hadn't been getting any sleep, so it was good to know that he was finally getting the sleep that he needed.
I'm glad that he's finally asleep. Aside from not sleeping until now, is he alright? Things have been hard on him lately since he's been so worried about you, so I wanna make sure that he's alright.
‘yeah, he's finally listening to me,’
Shuichi nodded in response, glad that Kaito was finally taking care of himself. He was honestly a bit worried that his best friend would fail to do so, even with Kokichi there, so it was a relief that he was finally doing so. Now he didn't have to worry as much about him.
That's good. I'm glad to hear that he's alright. I've been a bit worried about him.
‘yeah, he's okay,’
Shuichi nodded in response again as he sighed in relief. Knowing that Kaito was finally going to be okay was one of the best things that he could know at the time, as it finally stopped him from worrying so much about his best friend.

‘so what are we doing,’
Shuichi hummed in thought for a moment. He wasn't entirely sure what they were going to be doing that day, but he was sure that they were going to enjoy hanging out together for a little while. He wasn't sure what to do, but he'd be happy.
Do you want food?
‘yeah, sure’
Shuichi gave Kokichi a smile in response to that, as he was getting a bit hungry himself. He figured that they could enjoy some food together and just have a day out like they would before the events of the past couple of weeks. In those two weeks, both of them had almost died at some point, but the drama was finally over.
Alright. Let's go.
‘yay’
Shuichi smiled softly as he led Kokichi to a restaurant that he had enjoyed going to quite a lot. It was the first time that he had been there since the incident that almost took his life, but he was certainly glad to be back there, even if he wasn't with his lover.

Well, if worst comes to worst, if you just tell me your order, I'll be able to order it for you. I've gotten a lot better when it comes to ordering things, so it won't be that much of an issue for me.

Shuichi shook his head. No need to thank me for this, Kokichi. I'll always be here to help you out. Also, is that person staring at you? That's weird.
‘they must think I'm throwing gang signs or something.’ he signed and rolled his eyes
