“Sir you should stop throwing gang signs!” the lady said father loudly
Shuichi sighed softly as he looked at the lady, although he originally flinched a bit when she yelled. "U-um…they-they're not…gang signs…" he told her, although he was clearly nervous. "I-it's…ah, um, it's…just, well…sign language…"
“So some secretive language to talk about shooting up the place!?”
Kokichi was completely clueless as to what was going on
Shuichi looked away from her. While he had been working on overcoming all of his social anxiety, he still had a lot of progress that had yet to be made, and he almost felt like he was going to shut down in the situation due to all of the yelling.
"N-no…!" he responded. "Y-you see…my friend is, well, deaf, so, uh, y-you know…he-he can't…really…hear you…s-so…he, well, um, communicates…th-through…a-as I said, ah…sign language…"

Shuichi calmed down a bit when Kokichi wrapped his arms around his waist. However, it wasn't enough to keep him from crying, as he quickly felt tears forming in his eyes as he kept his gaze focused completely on the floor. He refused to make eye contact with the lady yelling at him, the situation slowly causing him to shut down.
Kokichi made a few sounds toward shuichi before holding up his middle finger to the woman “mine.” he said
The lady just glared at Kokichi and Shuichi. "You said that he's deaf, but he just spoke to me! He can probably hear this whole thing if he's speaking!"
Shuichi shook his head. "N-no…h-he just…w-well…um…" he stammered, finding it rather difficult to argue with her as his mind began to shut down entirely. He just stared at the ground and used his hat to completely cover his eyes before standing there, occasionally messing with his sleeves.
Kokichi jumped harshly as someone tapped him from behind. It was miu. “ he's deaf, not mute bitch. And kokichi has no idea what's going on because he thinks your pestering him about his gayness. Poor things been confused since the start and has been texting me “
It was only another few seconds before Rantaro showed up as well. Kokichi had also texted him about the situation since his boyfriend was currently being yelled at to the point that he was beginning to completely shut down, which wasn't a good thing.
"One, leave them alone. They're not threatening to blow this place up or something like that. They came to get lunch," he stated calmly before glaring at the woman. "Two, you have caused my boyfriend to completely shut down because of his anxiety. That is just rude, and I suggest that you stop yelling at him before he has a full blown anxiety attack because of you!"
The lady seemed shocked “I wanna talk to the owner! They should be banned!” she yelled
Rantaro continued to glare at the woman. Her behavior was completely unacceptable, and the more that she yelled, the more that she upset Shuichi, which continued to anger him since he didn't want to see his lover completely break down because of the event.
"They did nothing wrong!" he argued. "They had a conversation in sign language, but that's not threatening to blow up the restaurant! The owner has seen Shuichi here often, too, so I think they'll think you're crazy!"
The owner sighed from behind the woman “ I should ban you ma’am”
Rantaro nodded in response. "Please ban her," he stated. "She started an argument, basically refused to believe that one of our friends is deaf, and almost caused my boyfriend to have an anxiety attack."
“Then it's settled, get out”
The woman huffed in annoyance and threatened to give them a bad review before storming out of the restaurant without another word. She had been defeated, and she would no longer be there to bother them. Even so, Rantaro was pretty worried about his boyfriend, especially with how anxious he was. He was shaking as he stood there.
"Shu…are you alright…?" he asked softly as he wrapped his lover in a tight hug. "You can talk to me… I'm here now…"
Kokichi let go and sighed
Rantaro sighed softly. I'm probably gonna have to take him back to the dorms, he signed. He's incredibly shaken up because of this. We can meet up again for lunch tomorrow, alright?
‘I- I don't think so.. After this I don't wanna go out anymore..’
That's understandable, too. Maybe we could just do something at my dorm later or tomorrow? I still need to calm Shu down before we do anything, but it'll be okay…
“okay.. I need to get back to kaito..’
Yeah. Let's all head back to the dorms, then.

Rantaro picked Shuichi up before heading back to the dorms with the others. He was still annoyed with the woman for upsetting his boyfriend as much as she had, but there wasn't anything that he could do about it. She had already been banned from the restaurant, so he'd just have to hope that they never ran into her again. As long as that never happened, things would be fine once he got his boyfriend to calm down.
Once they got to the dorms, they went their separate ways. Miu went to hers, Rantaro took Shuichi back to his, and that left Kokichi to return to his own. Luckily, things were still peaceful there. Kaito was still sleeping, peacefully regaining the energy that he had lost after not sleeping for so long.
Kokichi sighed as he realized he hadn't eaten yet. And he wouldn't wake kaito up just to book for him
Even as Kokichi returned, it didn't seem like Kaito was going to wake up on his own for at least another hour. He was clearly pretty tired, so he definitely needed all of the sleep that he was getting. Maybe he would end up finally having energy once he woke up as well.
Kokochi started to cough slightly, feeling his head spin a bit before he gripped the counter, steading himself in place
While it seemed strange that the silent cough would wake him up, as there was no noise to trigger a response, it seemed as if Kaito could sense that something was wrong, so he immediately woke up after it happened, quickly noticing that Kokichi was holding onto the counter to steady himself.
What's wrong? he signed immediately. Are you alright?
