Children Of Berk // One-On-One // CLOSED

Ireth and Toothless came back a few minutes later.

Bo was already settled onto Dagger. The interesting thing was that he wore no saddle, nothing. Just him and his dragon.

"You don't ride with a saddle? That's cool. I've only ever risen with one."

He shakes his head. "Makes it easier. They don't have extra weight on them as they fly." Bo explains. "And the rider and the dragon trust each other enough to know where to go."

Ireth looked back at Toothless' tail. "Yeah…."

"I can understand why the nightfury needs his though. Quite the engineering." Bo says.

Ireth didn't know what to say so she and Toothless took off.

Bo nods to Dagger and they follow after.

Toothless perched on the top of Berk (you know,, right at the top)

Dagger flew around a few times and Bo falls back onto Daggers back.

Ireth found herself smiling at Bo and Daggers exploits.

Bo reaches up tiredly and touches the clouds, humming as he does so.

Ireth smiled wider.

He shuts his eyes and relaxes, glad he was in the air again.

Toothless took off and caught up with Dagger.

Dagger sees the nightfury and tilts his head curiously.

"Plasma blast," Ireth whispered to Toothless, and the dragon did so.

Dagger shrieks and Bo sits up, a knife flashing into view. "What- oh."

Ireth flinched when she saw the knife. "Sorry. If I'd known you'd react like that I wouldn't have done it."

Bo eases. "S-sorry. I'm just on edge…" he mutters, smiling a little nervously. "I don't know when those dragon hunters might come around."

"If dragon hunters come, we'll defend you."

Bo nods and sighs softly. "Thanks… but it's my people I'm worried about…" He whispers.

"We'll help them. My dad's never been someone to do anything without a plan."

He nods and looks down, "The flight to the Island is three days and that's with barely any breaks between." he whispers, sighing softly.

"I can't do anything myself, OK! You're telling me these things, but I can't do anything about them! I might be the Chief's daughter, but I have barely any power!" Ireth yelled, finally losing it. She steered Toothless to the top of the mountain.

Bo starts at the outburst and bites his lip, looking down. "C'mon Dagger. We… we don't need help." He whispers. "We have to get home."

Ireth climbed off Toothless and sat on the ground. She fell.

It was similar to her previous vision, but before it. Bo was lying on the ground, and she could see herself screaming but being restrained from going to him by her parents. She turned around, hit them and ran to Bo. He started to get up but right at that moment, a huge tail swung around and knocked Ireth - out cold from the blow - into a boulder. A spike was in her left leg and as she fell, the leg stayed (gruesome, i know). She landed on the ground.

Ireth woke up screaming.

Dagger gives a silent acknowledgement and quickly soars into the clouds for cover. His wings beat silently as he does so. Bo leans against Dagger tiredly, watching the clouds go by.

Ireth didn't know what to do. She knew that she needed to get on Toothless and go back to Berk, but she was frozen in place. She did the only thing she thought to do. "Bo!" She screamed as loud as she could. "Bo!"

Bo didn't hear Ireth, hearing only the whistle of the wind. He sighs, letting his hand run along the clouds.
