Oakfur yawned in the sunlight. She strode over to the freshkill pile.

Finchkit spotted Oakfur leaving the nursery and trotted over to her. "Hi Oakfur!" She said cheerily. "How are you feeling?"

"A little tired, but fine."

"That's good. Your kits are coming soon, right? I'm becoming a medicine cat apprentice today, so maybe I can even help you deliver them! I'm sure they'll be adorable!"

"Yeah, in a few weeks. I estimate three kits."

"Three! They'll be a handful, but you'll do great. You're patient, like my mom. She handled my siblings and me pretty well."
