He nods, "Question is though… Where is he?"

"Is there a problem?" she asked, arching her eyebrows curiously.

Maria shook her head. "Who knows. Probably his office. I'll find him."

"Yes. There is." He sighs

Clint nods silently

"And what might that be?" she asked sharply.

Maria stood up and ran her fingers through her hair. "Clint… do you know what this means?"

"You need to rest!"

"Nope!"

"I want to see my father!" she retorted.

She looked at him. "It means we're at war again."

"Not yet! Calm down!"

"Heh?"

"If you don't get him I will get out of this bed and see him myself."

"We're at war again," she repeated, still sounding disbelieving.

"No dont." He holds up his hands as if to stop her.

"Against?"

"Then get him," she said firmly.

"HYDRA," she answered quietly.

"Stop. Please."

He nods slowly, "Right…" his brain was way too sleep deprived

"Let me see him!"

"Yeah, you need to sleep," Maria said, looking at him pointedly.

"Why?"

Clint says, not really hearing her

"It's my father, Jackson."

She took his shoulders and began to steer him towards the door. "You need to sleep."

"And? He is in the brig. At the very bottom of this craft."

"No. I'm fine." He shakes his head, blinking hard.

"Get. Him."

"Go," she said firmly.

"No."

"No! I'm fine!" Like father like son

"Then I'm getting up," she stated, positioning herself to sit up.

"Yes! Now shut up."

"No don't! Or I'll call your mom!" He threatens.

"No!" He plants his feet firmly on the ground

"So what? Get my dad," she retorted.

"You want to do this the hard way?" she questioned, cracking her knuckles.

He snarls, slouching, "I dont think it's good idea."

He flinches but stands straight, " I fought Natahsa under Loki's curse. I can with you."

"I want to see him! I've never even met him in my whole life, now you're telling me he's here and I can't even remember what he looks like because I was half-unconscious when I saw him!" she retorted, speaking quickly.

Maria rolled her eyes. "And you'll fight me to avoid sleeping?"

"Yes…?" He was completely confused

Jackson sighs, dropping his arms and shaking his head, "I cant I'm sorry. But I can't. "

"Yes I will. Especially now."

Kate's expression dropped. "Fine."

She rolled her eyes. "Why?"

He sighs, running a hand through his hair, "Once you're back to full health I can take you down to see him. Ok?"

"Because of this! A new tesseract. "

She didn't reply.

"Well you need to sleep. Now go, or I will personally knock you out. May I remind you that Natasha beat your ass in that fight?"

"Kate?"

" She might have but I still did a good job considering the circumstances." He smirks slightly
