"Well. Uh. To say it bluntly she us a badass. And… She survived the snap. After… " He falls silent at the thought, "Or. Came back from it."

Kate pressed her lips together. Maria didn't talk much about what happened during the snap, and Kate didn't pressure her into conversations about it either. "Right. Well you got the first thing right," she said, pride dripping from her words.

"I know." Jackson laughs

Kate pressed her lips into a grin and decided to join in as well. "Heard some things about your dad too," she commented nonchalantly.

"That he is a sarcastic asshole? Yeah. " He laughs

"Well, that I guess. From what I heard, he's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent that saved Natasha Romanoff's life and fought bravely with the Avengers at every turn," she replied, looking at him levelly.

"Almost every." Jackson rolls his eyes. He never thought his father as a hero. It really didnt occur to him.

Kate tilted her head. "Almost every?"

"Nothing. Nevermind." He turns around and sits on one of the folding seats that are located on the edge of the craft.

Kate watched him for a second, then headed back to the cockpit.

Jackson leaned his elbows on his knees.

"Roughly 3 hours until we reach the base," she informed him.

"Greaat… Dang. I should have brought something to do…"

Kate twirled a knife in her fingers. She thrust it forward into the air, imagining the chance to use it.

"What do you think we'll find there?"

She stopped and looked over at him. "I don't know," she admitted. "We have to trust Nick, though."

"Which I dont." He sighs and Kay's down across a few seats

She narrowed her eyes and stood up, practicing more with her knife. "That's reasonable…"

"Mhm." Jackson sighs. He sat up just to take off his sniper from his back. He sets beside himself and lays back again

A siren went off from the control panel. Kate jolted up from her seat and ran over to look. "Oh, God…" she muttered.

Jackson was snoring. He had fallen asleep moments after the time skip

"Jackson!" Kate yelled, sitting down to pilot the jet quickly.

Jackson diesnt stir. Just snored louder

"Jacks-" She cursed under her breath. "I knew it! Jackson!"

Jackson jerks awake and bewildered. He sits up hurriedly but too fast. He cracked his head on… something. In his heist, "What's going on?!"

"We have missiles incoming, launched from the HYDRA base. I told Nick! I told him!"

"What?!" He staggers up toward the front

"Hang on!: she yelled over her shoulder.
