“It’s alright, I know what I’m doing.” Trent stifled laughter. “You’re an emergency case. My siblings would be delighted to help.”

@Hawkeye

“Well, fine. But it’s atill rude.” Lydia said, laughing.

“The truth isn’t pretty.” Trenton declared dramatically, smoothing our his gelled hair. “It takes work to look this good all the time, dwarf. I’ll teach you my secrets.”

@Hawkeye

“Oh my gods, I can’t believe you. Let’s go.” Lydia said, smiling.

Trenton was absolutely thrilled and it showed on his face. “Now? As in right now?”

@Hawkeye

“Nooo, later now.” Lydia said sarcastically, before adding, “Yes, right now.” She smiled.

“Bye! Thank you!” Trent shouted to Bren and Angel, already dragging Lydia by the wrist out the door, the cookies completely forgotten.

@Hawkeye

Lydia made sure to grab a cookie on her way, but let herself be dragged.

(Ok I need a description on Lydia’s hair now so Trent can freak out)

He continued to drag her to his cabin, flinging open the door. “Just sit down in front of one of the mirrors. I need to get a new brush. I always bring a few extras.”

@Hawkeye

(She cut it herself right before she got back to camp, so it’s probably shoulder length and super uneven.)
Lydia sat down uncomfortably, grimacing at the large amounts of makeup and pink in the room.

“Don’t make that face! Pink is good enough for everyone.” Trent’s voice was muffled by a pair of scissors he held between his teeth. He had a spray bottle of water in one hand and a brush in the other.

@Hawkeye

“I would not have pinned hairdresser as one of your talents, man.” Lydia said, forcing herself to sit still in the presence of scissors, unconsciously rubbing her thigh.

“Oliver is terrible with this stuff.” Even the way Trent talked became more relaxed as he fumbled around the messy cabin for supplies. “So one of had to be good at it.”

@Hawkeye

“Fair enough.” Lydia said, watching the scissors out of the corner of her eye, although she knew that Trent would never hurt her.

Trent walked over when he was satisfied he had everything he needed. “I should’ve made you wash out your hair first.” He sighed.

@Hawkeye

Lydia rolled her eyes but didn’t say anything.

“Did you cut this yourself?” Trent asked, enough though he already guessed the answer. He sprayed a section of her hair with water and began to brush it out.

@Hawkeye

“Yeah… my foster mom refused to let me get professionally cut, so I did it myself.” She shuddered at the memory.

Trenton frowned, but tried to play it cool. “Gods you’re lucky you met me. Stay still. There’s a knot in your hair.” He started brushing it out gently.

@Hawkeye

Lydia stood still as she could, trying not o flinch.

“Sorry, sorry…” He murmured, brushing out the rest of her her in the same sequence. Spray it with water, brush, then comb. “Your hair is so soft when it’s untangled.”

@Hawkeye

“It has to make up for my heart.” Lydia said, laughing.

“Are you attempting to suggest you are unkind?” Trenton honestly looked offended. “I assure you, if you were I would not have taken to you so quickly.” He shook his head in amusement. “I’m incapable of thinking that anyone could see you as such.”

@Hawkeye

“I’m joking.” Lydia said, smiling and rolling her eyes.

“Still!” Trenton whined, crouching down a little to get a better idea of how off her hair was. “How short are you okay with this being?”

@Hawkeye

“I mean, not SUPER short. Like not much more than four inches, please.”

“I should be able to manage with two and a half.” Trent mused to himself, picking up the scissors from the counter along with the comb and hair clips.

@Hawkeye

“Even better.” Lydia said, flinching at the sight of the scissors, but gaining her composure back almost immediately.

Trenton picked up on the flinching, but didn’t comment on it. He simply began cutting, carefully measuring everything out so it was even.

@Hawkeye

Lydia sat as still as humanly possible. She watched Trent in the mirror.
