"It's fine. He doesn't know about this. I believe we got off on the wrong foot. I'm Princess Rage, nice to meet you." She said, sitting up and wincing.

Decay rushed to Rage's side. "Are you okay? Has Scarlet been making you fight in the arena even though you two are related?"

She shook her head. "Scarlet saw Ink, so I created a wall of fire and rushed through it to escape." She said.

"I saw you fighting Peril earlier, what was the deal with that? H-How did you k-kill her?"

"It was easy. I'm the quickest dragonet in the Sky Kingdom. I just dashed behind her and snapped her neck. No big deal."

"But her firescales? And why were you even fighting her in the first place?"

"I don't get affected by firescales. And I was fighting her because Scarlet decided it was time for a change. Peril had won every battle, and so have I. So she pitted us against each other."

"That seems pretty cruel. Peril looked up to her, didn't she?"

"Yeah, but it seemed like she didn't care. I didn't, for the record."

"Jeez, you sound like my mom! 'If you come back from the diamond trial, we'll be respected by the rest of our tribe; if you don't, we'll still have one less low ranked dragonet.'"

Rage snorted. "Yeah, sometimes my emotions just disappear."

"Disappear? How? Were you enchanted or something?"

"Not really enchanted, it just happens. Kinda like Ink, in a way, except I have a soul."

"Not something you want to talk about," Decay said, "that's ok."

Rage snorted and flicked her tail. "Probably somebody he likes." She said.

"Oooooh," Decay said with amusement, "that makes sense."

Rage snorted, thrashing her tail.

"Alright then, " Decay said, changing the subject, "I should probably get a few supplies and then go if I want to get to my destination soon."

"Where you headed?" Rage asked.
