Crystalline Pirates: Protectors of the Island (Closed! You can stalk though.)

So sorry for the switcheroo but I was about to go to sleep and rethinking all the characters and honestly I felt kinda bad for Orion, he's actually probably the cutest one here and so if they were both gay or bi then a ship between the two of them would be cool. Again, this is my fantasy and you don't have to agree to it, whoever designed Orion.
Also, I had another idea. sighs from all around anyway so what do these crystals do? How do we use them - if we do? Do the characters keep one on them at all times? Because if so, I had a cool idea for Houston's crystal - he could fashion it into the shape of an eye and put in in the place of his left eye. If he winks, he gets this "second sight" with his crystal eye. Since air has the quality of free communication, he can then "see" what other people are saying from that eye, from anywhere, anything. If that makes any sense.
Also, Riseley looks AWESOME. I especially love the "Newt Scamander Style" Trenchcoat idea. AWESOME.

Character's will keep them on their person at all times. The crystal allow each person to control said element with a limited amount. So a cloudy clear crystal would allow for minimal air control. However a completely clear crystal would give the user complete air control. In order to use the crystal the user must either infuse it with an item or turn it into powder. The more you use one crystal the worse quality it would have. So you would need to replace it constantly in order to keep up a good quality, hence the importance of keeping the island protect since it essentially 'grows' crystals. So in theory it could work, but I don't recommend doing it :)

Alrighty so Houston infuses his with mint because it turns "Cold Spicy" (you know how mint is) when wind touches it. it's kinda like he has one glass eyes cept this one's cloudy clear. He soaks it and put it in his socket when using it. He finds a new one once a month.
Is that okay? I can totally change it if you want.

That is perfectly fine! It fits with the basic concept, one problem is sometimes it's over a year before they return. So if you could change it so that he changes it once it's worthless rather than once a month since they try to use each one until it is dry.

My character, Houston. I just think Orion and him fit well together as a fighting gay couple. Idk. I'm not very experienced with writing about other sexualities, so I might have to ditch it. But for now, I ship it!

Cicada was shouting out orders to the crew. They had to be off the island soon before the barrier returned and rough seas came, "Faster! Get those crystals and get them aboard. Stop lazing around and do something!"

Houston: AY! WHERE'S THE FIFTH POWDER BAG? I'VE LOADED ALL THE CANNONS EXCEPT THE FIFTH! WHO'S GOT IT?

(Rumple just one suggestion. This isn't going to be dialouge based, so uh. Maybe write out your characters actions and then use quotations for dialogue?)

Houston sat grumpily on the last canon as no one answered him. "Hey! Don't forget the measurements for my eye! I'll need to make a new one in 'bouta week. I'll get the paper, Cicada, you get that crystal!"

(Guys, I will get right back to you after I stop my panicking.)

(Gotcha.)

Cicada looked to Houstan and shouted, "Hey! I'm the captain here! So shut yer mouth! You don't give orders!"

"Yeah, and I shoot your cannons to keep you alive!"
Nevertheless, he crumpled the paper in his own pocket and ran down the gangplank to fetch his crystals.
