Five Half-Princes and Their Quest for A Kingdom

Damian only grumbled in reply, staring out the window.

(Lmao Damian needs to be pushed always)

Catori blinked, shaking her head to clear whatever fog had come over her mind, and fought a smile. "Sorry. I shouldn't have…pushed." Doesn't mean I wont later down the line.

“Consider this a lessson then.” Damian replied flatly, still brooding by the window.

She huffed a laugh, covering her mouth with one hand as she turned to look out the other window, matching his brooding look.

Damian turned to glare at her, only to find her playfully mimicking him. “You have no common sense.” He snapped, reverting back to his grumpy behavior.

"The price of being the youngest child." She responded with a smile.

He let out a defeated sigh, seeing he wasn’t making any impact.

Catori's smiled turned into a grin, and she did a little victory dance in her head. Brooding men had absolutely no affect on her, seeing as she had been forced to grow up with them.

“You’re ridiculous.” Damian complained, but any bite behind his words had faded.

"This is not news." Her eyes were bright with mirth, and she bit her lip to contain laughter.

“Stop that.” Damian warned, glaring at her. “Tori, don’t you dare laugh.”

"Not laughing!" Catori squeezed out before pressing her lips together tightly.

His eyes narrowed. “You look like you’ve trapped a frog in your cheeks.” He replied childishly.

That made her break, bursting into laughter at the idea of a frog in her mouth.

Damian rolled his eyes, but a smile upturned the corners of his lips.

"A frog!" She exclaimed, still laughing.

“Frogs are rather nice to speak with.” Damian defended, still pretending to be grumpy.

"But you don't put them in your mouth, do you?" Catori asked between giggles as she looked up at him.

“No… I suppose I don’t.” Damian raised an eyebrow at her. “Are you certain you got enough sleep?”

"Absolutely not. That has nothing to do with you putting frogs in your mouth though."

“It has to do with why you seem so fascinated by the topic. You ought to get some more rest, Sparrow.”

Catori did a double take at the nickname, but shook it off. "You're probably right about that. I'm used to getting little sleep though, and you just insinuated that you have seen someone trap a frog in their mouth."

“I will not confirm nor deny that, but there is a slight possibility I convinced a frog to leap to Fletcher’s mouth when we were younger.

Pine signaled to the driver to take a side road out of the city. Within five minutes the noise and energy had died down and they were surrounded by a huge, cool meadow of grass. Pine relaxed marginally.
When Vic reached the forest, Charming had to slow. The air seemed a lot cooler in the shade. They had been riding for almost half an hour by now and they were barely a tenth of the way there. But he knew Anulle was worth it.

( @Bandito what kind of challenges should the princes expect to face in their kingdoms? Is the king going to try and stop them by force?)

(he'll give them a few days to reach their kingdoms and set up and stuff, then he'll give them challenges according to their personalities, like Vic would smash any army so the king's going to try to cause internal conflict)
