Tsunami lifted her head, taking another look around as Riverpaw distracted herself with a few birds that had flown up to the nearby window. The wolf caught sight of a few people that seemed to be staring, and she narrowed her eyes in a warning manner, hoping they weren't planning on causing trouble. She wanted Riverpaw to actually have a reason to come back here. Riverpaw glanced up at her. "What's wrong?" Tsunami shook her head slightly and turned back with a dog-like smile, trying not to worry her.

"Nowhere in particular." Tobias responded, running a hand through his blue hair. "You?"

@burning-my-bridges

"I swear, that wolf just gave me the stink eye," Zephen said, intriuged.
She stood up and headed over to the wolf.

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen glance back at tobias, "And, to answer your question, I'm not telling," she joked, with a smirk.

Tobias turned and scoured the tavern, trying to check everything out.

@Yamatsu

Yama: So, uh… Other than the wolfy stink-eye, how are the rest of you doing?

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen approached the wolf causiously.

Riverpaw sighed, her tail coming up to rest in her lap. "Of all places, Tsuna, w-why would you bring me to a tavern?" Tsunami made a noise in her throat, glancing around the room. "B-but, we can do that in the forest. Without a bunch of s-strangers around." Tsunami rolled her eyes, suddenly stopping on a nymph-looking girl that was getting closer.

@burning-my-bridges

"Hello, I'm Zephen. I was wondering why you're wolf was giving me the death stare?"

Riverpaw drew her shoulders up and looked away, but Tsunami huffed at her. They both new only Forest Guardians could understand Tsunami and all those of her species, and Riverpaw didn't want to be rude and not answer the girl's question. She glanced at the nymph and answered rather quickly, "S-she's cautious of new people."

(can i join in?)

@burning-my-bridges

"Oh, I see. I've finally met my polar opposite!" Zephen laughed.

@burning-my-bridges

(sure!)

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen's eyes darted to the girl's ears. A forest gaurdian. Suddenly, memories came flooding back into Zephen's mind. Memories she worked hard to repress. She fidgetted with her bracelet more and more, becoming aware that the girl was watching her.

@Simon-Says

A young girl who looks about 16 walks into the tavern. Her short black hair is spiked up. She walks straight over to the counter and asks if they have any firewhisky.

@Simon-Says

(Sorry can I join)

@burning-my-bridges

(yep)

@Simon-Says

(thx)

@burning-my-bridges

The memories were becoming too much for Zephen, and she dashed into the corner, silent tears rollong down her face. She sat down at a chair, and cried.

@Simon-Says

Nellie saw the girl crying and walked over to her. She said nothing, only pulled up a chair next to her. She knew what this girl was feeling.

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen heard a chair screech across the ground. She looked up to see a girl sitting next to her. "Hello?" Zephen managed to say.

the door to the tavern opens and in walks a figure in a long deep purple cloak, face obscured except for the gleam of a pair of eyes. She walks over to the bar and sits. Her eyes roam over each person within the space. Turning to the barkeep she extends a silver coin out with a single finger.
"One Moon ale if you have it."

Tsunami tilted her head at the nymph, wondering what the outburst was about. Riverpaw started to worry, hoping she hadn't upset her. Tsunami had noticed the bracelets on the girl's arm and thought for a moment that she recognized them.

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen glanced at the new figure. She liked to know everything going on in her sorroundings. An old habit, she guessed, but she didn't want to think about that time in her life. At least not right now.

@Simon-Says

Nellie smiled at the girl. Still, she said nothing, but pushed a drink over to her. Finally, she said, "it'll help."

@burning-my-bridges

"Thanks. If you don't mind me asking, why'd you come over?" Zephen sipped the drink, grateful.

@Simon-Says

"I knew you needed it," Nellie replied simply.

@burning-my-bridges

Zephen smiled. The girl had a backstory, too then. Sadly, she doubted she would learn it. After all, she never told anyone about her's. "Good guess. Do you come here often?"

@Simon-Says

"No, actually. I only come when I need to." Nellie knew she came across as mysterious, but it couldn't be helped.

Nimuae turned to the pair in the corner. The young one with the lavender hair looked vaguely familiar, but when you were several millennia old most everyone started to look familiar. Besides she wasn't the one Nimuae was looking for.
But with the girl in obvious distress and looking right at her she couldnt help but give her a small closed lipped smile. No need to distress her further with fangs.
