“No, not really,” Zephen said, not bothering to lie.

"what's up, or do you need something stronger?"
Nellie rushes over to Zephen. "You're in pain. What's wrong?" She asks sternly.
“It’s just emotional, don’t worry. It’s just……memories. The forest gaurdian reminded me of my past. My old mentor. He was killed. He trained me to use my powers, but when the kings advisor discovered my abilities, he killed my mentor and took me away. I became an assassain, enslaved to the royal throne. I added a bead to me bracelet for every life I took. And the last bead, that’s for the king,” Zephen said, disgust creeping into her voice at the last part.
Nellie gasped quietly. She took out a flower from her bag and put it in Zephen's drink. Then she smiled.
Zephen couldn’t believe she just told that to a room of strangers. But, somehow, they didn’t feel like strangers at all. She smiled back at Nellie

"Wow rough life." he said quietly to her
“Don’t pity me, I’m not a maytr. It can’t be as bad as some of yours,” Zephen said.
group
"eh, don't know it has to probably at the top 5 that i have heard hear. apparently being a bartender qualifies you as a therapist also sometimes."
"Yes, it can." Nellie responded, thinking of her own life.
“Ha, that’s true. So what’s your story? You seem to have one….” Zephen questioned.
group
"Me or her?" he asked.
“Either”
Nimuae listened quietly. It pained her to hear such things coming from ones so young. Recalling her own troubled youth, she leaned towards the bartender and set a small stack of shining coins in front of him. "Her drinks are on me."

he turned around. "alright." he nodded. "what would you like?"
Zephen was stunned. Sometimes, people’s kindness surprised her. “Th-thank you. Do I know you?” She asked, grateful.
"I doubt it, little one, but-" She threw back her hood to reveal her long pointed ears and shock of silvery black hair "when you're one of the last of the High Mountain Elves sometimes you can relate to being oppressed and forced into a life you never wanted."
(Wow, alright, I'm back. Let's do this!)
Yama: Just another soda for me, thank you.
Nellie smiled. "You don't know her, but you should."
group
"Coming right up." he turned around and grabbed a soda and handed it to her.
“A mountain elf-“ Zephen’s breath caught, “My mother was a wind nymph. She died giving birth to me. My father, well he didn’t want me.”
Yama, to Nimuae: You're the last of your kind? Wow! I'm the first of mine!
Nimuae winked over at Nellie.
“I didn’t know Mountain elves were still alive!” Zephen was amazed.
She still couldn’t get over it. She leaned back, taking it in

Calix turned around and got a water for himself.
Yama: Forgive me for asking, but aside from being the last of your kind, what else is special about you?
Nim glanced at Yama "I heard that there was a dragon spawn wandering these parts but i couldn't believe it. No one has seen a dragon since I was a girl."
Turning back to Zephen "There are a few of us here and there. Seems our King as a healthy hatred for things he cannot control."
(oh jeez I feel asleep, what'd I miss)
Yama: Where I come from, dragons are everywhere. There are just taboos that forbid any interspecies relationships. According to my mother, "They're all just cowards!"
