"I dare you to try and outfly Firiko through the trees outside of town" he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Firiko perked up, "you wanna try it?"

Firiko's wings twitched as he waited to see Calix's answer. Damian smirked triumphantly, he knew Firiko had grown up flying in a jungle, so this would be easy.

"Alright fine." He said smiling. Sure he wasn't the best but he always had to fly when he was a warrior.

Firiko got to his feet, "let's go then!" He said, wings flaring in anticipation.

Calix nodded then ran outside. Once outside he opened up his big pure white wings.

Serenade looked at Calix’s wings, admiring them as they glistened in the sun. She spread her own wings and flapped up to hover above the others. She was going to follow the race while airborne.

Firiko and Damian both followed him. Firiko's wings opened as well, wingtips brushing with Calix's. His red and gold wing complemented Calix's white ones. "I wish you luck keeping up!"

Damian stepped out in front, looking pointedly at Firiko. "You better win mate!" He said, stopping just ahead of the two. "Alright, out into the trees and up to the rideg then back." He said pointing out the loop. "Ready?"

"Good!" said Damian, "On three! One, Two," he counted slowly, "Three!"
Firiko spirnted off, his wings flaring again as he took off with a powerful thrust of his wings, sticking low to the ground as he easily picked up speed, heading for the trees.

Calix flew up quickly from where he was and flew a bit higher near the tree tops. He flew threw quick, dodging the branches with ease.

Firiko dodged treetrunks, flying fast and low. he whipped up into the branches, dodging around them, constantly using the momentum to speed up.

Calix used his speed and knowledge from all of his training as a warrior to know where to fly. He flew down when there were too many branches. But stayed high. He kept his wings closed slightly at times to better avoid the branches, the length of his wings at times were to long for the short distance between the trees.

Firiko almost glided through the branches, his wings held close but outspread at a tight angle. He used his body to direct his weight, his wings shifting position fluidly as he glided around the branches never stopping no matter how thick they were.

Calix flew out of the trees and towards the ridge. He had his wings fully extended not really flapping them but gliding. Gliding was a fast fluid motion while flapping only took up time to increase speed slightly and height.

Firiko burst from the trees just behind him, wings held in close as he rocketed out of the trees. His wings slowly extended, just enough for a sharp turn near the rockface before heading back towards the trees, flying low through the underbrush.

Calix touched the rocks and quickly spun and dove down into the trees. His wings close and closed mostly. He glided quickly through the forest high enough that he wouldn't deal with many branches.

Firiko stayed low this time. swerving easily through the trees, picking up speed as he flew.

Calix stayed fast and not too high. He was able to exit the forest quick enough.

Firiko shot out at the same time Calix did, his wings snapped open as soon as he was free of the trees, pumping to fly faster.

Calix opened his wings up quick and it instantly made him go faster. He went fast to the landing spot and shut is wings as he swiftly stopped.
