"Yeah, minus the fact that getting caught would be very nasty." said Firiko, standing properly, ignoring his cousin.

"Unfortunately for me it was a tie." he said, "I couldn't tell who touched down first with the wind that was kicked up."

Firiko grinned, "He's just a sore loser." he said, "I honestly think it was a tie."

Serenade was lounging on a nearby rock.
“You guys a surprisingly slow for winged beings. I guess that comes from not being made entirely of magic.”

Firiko frowned, "I was actually holding back by not shifting" he said. "And give me a little fire boost and I would've beaten him by a long shot."

“Who’s turn is it now?”

"Thanks." Calix said, "Maybe I went slower because there wasn't anything urgent." He and looked around.

Serenade closed her wings around her as the sun set in the distance.
“It’s cold out here. Let’s go inside.”

Calix nodded as they walked in. "Truth or dare Serenade?"

“Dare.” She answered, closing her wings so she could fit through the doorway.

"I dare you to go into this place's basement." Calix replied.

Firiko and Damian followed, Damian shifting to wolf form as they came in, his claws clicking on the floorboards.

Damian stared at her, "I've never lived in a house before and I know what a basement is. How come you don't??"

“This is why my Divine Protector wants me to socialize more. I live alone on a tropical island with no other sentient life.”

"Ok well, I dared you to go in the basement." Calix said then grabbed a key from behind the bar and walked over to a door and opened it. He held it open showing just a dark abyss.

Serenade shrugged and went inside. She gave a small shout and listened as the sound bounced around.
“You know I have echolocation, right?”

"Um, for one there is something I haven't gotten around to killing down there……" Calix said looking down into the basement.
