"Oh my, I feel sorry for this land considering the state you've kept it in. If you don't mind to step down from your high horse, or tower in this case, and show your face it would be GREATLY appreciated," Paige said with equal sass, annoyed at his unneccesary attitude.

"its kept in this state to keep people away" he explained as he walked towards her

"We're travellers passin through." Paige said.

"where ya going?" he asked

"West." The Demon Lord said. He walked over to the cart, and fed the horses.

"Stormhaven, we are coming from the village that was attacked by the dragon. We are to go meet the sorcerer of Stormhaven." Paige said.

"oh that guy. hes a prick"

"Like you." Magnus said after coming back from his nap.

"at least i own up to it, he thinks hes all mighty when in reality anyone with a smidge of magic could defeat him"

"And anyone with a smide of intelligence could kill you" Magnus retorted.

"Geez you're one to talk, first all your potions failed, then you failed at keeping people out yet here you are still sitting on your high horse. The only thing you haven't failed at yet is being a prick," Paige said with annoyance. Even if he does end up being right ,he didn't need to talk down about someone.

"That's enough you two." Haskel called.

"Well since you would rather be left alone I suppose we should get going," Paige said tilting her head, " I think you like being in the lonely tower. Or is it the opposite?"

"He started it!" Honestly she felt awfully childish but she hated arrogant people like the prick

"Listen, we got places to be." The Demon Lord quipped. Something moved in.the shed.

"Agreed." Paige turned towards the carriage but stopped suddenly. "Haskel, didn't you just go into the shed? Was that one of your demons?" Unsettled, she tightened her grip on her sword, her eyes not wavering from the shed.

"its probably one of the mythical beasts around here" he said "i take care of them and make sure no hunters come. you guys arent hunter right?" his eyes glowing with hatred at the thought

"We're not hunters, far from it. What are those beasts you speak of?" Paige questioned with curiousity. She still wasn't convinced enough to let her guard down.

"hmm there are some dragon cubs, manticores, some sprites, and some others" he said, it is obvious he loves all of them "oh and a shadow dragon cub"

"the potion i was creating would be one to help the shadow dragon cub, his mom was just killed by some people in a nearby village"

"whats wrong?"he asked starting to like them as they were the only non animal people he had talked too ina long time
