when i was like 12-14 i thought that hating on my art was hip and cool so i taught myself to continuously refuse compliments and only look for the flaws in my art.
i was miserable artistically
finally i learned that i should accept compliments and make a note of certain parts of a drawing that i'm especially proud of! it has really helped me grow and learn as an artist (plus it allows me to understand that i'll never be absolutely perfect bc that's impossible but i still have goals to reach and once i reach that goal i'll come up with a new goal!)
