AND ELLIE I KNOW I THINK THERE'S NOTHING TO APPRECIATE ABOUT MY ART SO I'M NOT THE BEST PERSON TO TELL YOU THIS, BUT IT MUST BE SAID - THERE IS ALWAYS ONE MINOR THING ABOUT YOUR ART TO APPRECIATE IT, EVEN IF YOU CAN'T SEE IT YOURSELF. Constantly hating on your art just drains your motivation and makes your improvement slower, even if you practice daily.
Not to mention it's really awkward for the people around you when they genuinely appreciate your work and you talk down about it as if it's nothing…

Your art may not be in a place that you're happy with at the moment. But does that mean you're going to
- Be upset about it and not do anything to change it
- Tell everyone your art sucks
- Not try because you're convinced it'll be bad anyway

Absolutely not! If you want to create art, you should treat yourself like a new student, ready to learn new art! Tutorials, tips, and teachers are not your enemies, in fact I'd encourage you to utilize them!
