Spoo. Does your story use the classical elements? How about extras? Hm?

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I mean, Akira sorta does, but then again it's one of those ideas that I'm not sure if I'll keep or not

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Care to explain it? Maybe I can help!

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Oh holy shit my world is complicated, I’ll make it as simple as possible, I have about what, 27 elements or more…. and each can be combined, and there’s even species special ones so all together it’s like 75 or something like that combos now because I can’t stop.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

That sounds cool.

book

I use them. Light, Darkness, Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Storm, Wind, Gravity. I think I have all the forces of the world.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

That's a cool concept Dom.

book

Do you think I missed any?

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

I think you're good.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Hey what do the elements in your stories do? Like I know the basic classical elements, what about others like dark, like, and as Dom said, gravity, lightning, ice, you know?

Lightening works a lot like fire, but under conditions similar to wind.
Any element will have at least one, or more, opposing elements. (Fire to water and ice and nature)
And any element will have several given cohesive elements. (elements that work well together.) Wind and water is one example. As is water and Ice.

Most elements in my books also come mainly from blood sources, (the elemental power variation is hereditary) So this means that depending on what your base element is, (The element you started with, or are closest to.) this can affect physical stats.
For example, someone who has a fire base element, will do well in heat, but has a higher risk of injury, health issues, ect. in a colder environment.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Makes sense.

Also I forgot two earlier, Star, and Luna,
Oh and Spirit.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Cool! And how do those work? And what are the powers attributed to those elements?

All three are considered a branch off of mystic, but each is different.
Spirit, is obvious. Most users of this element can see and talk to spirits. Some can summon them, others can walk on their plane of existence.

Star, is a more powerful element. This is usually associated with mental abilities, like telepathy, and also foretelling, visions, knowledge, ect. Star is mostly used as a supporting element for other elements, but is powerful on its own.

Luna, is a healing based element. It is also used for dream walking. A luna element combined with shadows can actually be used for creating nightmares.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Sounds like a cool dynamic you got there.

Yeah, the tricky part is balancing limitations.

YES!

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

I hear you there. Checks and balances? Am I right?

I hear you there. Checks and balances? Am I right?

Not quite. More like balancing who can do what, when, where, why, and why not.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

So you've got what's called A Hard magic system. So do I.

Yeah, the hardest part is keeping everything straight.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

You're talkin of consistency huh?
