not like death allergy but a “will likely either break out or get extremely itchy eyes the moment one brushes against me” kind of allergy
it’s really sad cause i love my son so much but i can’t go out and hug him no matter how much he borks
i’m hoping since yorkies are hypoallergenic though that i can still live my dream of owning two tiny dogs and bringing them everywhere
I am not Dr. Eris but I do suffer from a very unfortunate cat allergy and know how to deal with that sort of thing.
Wash your arms and hands and anywhere else that touched your dog with water and soap. It'll still probably itch for a while but the thing that is causing the itchiness will stop. If you really want to pet your dog, I suggest taking a medicine like benadryl and then washing your hands and face and everything after you pet or hug your dog.

My mom put some weird ointment on it and gave me medicine to take so that should help

Mox has it right. You cant really do much with a minor allergic reaction except wait it out. If you have anti-itch cream that will usually help a ton.
I suggest investing in Benadryl or at least some Claritin. You'll need a Antihistamine to protect you
