Masquerade Balls Need to get in Fucking Fashion
wtf do I wear to this part because I kinda wanna go frilly girly but it HAS to be functional…

i saw masquerade in the title and i was drawn to it i agree, and my school was going to do that for prom but corona messed everything up, i was going to wear a short black turtleneck dress, thigh high black boots, star earrings, and a glittery black mask, i cant find anything from that outfit anymore, but like I would absolutely go mad if the school was going to do another one, I like fashion and things like that, so id work on an outfit right away, id probably wear a suit tbh XD
Heads up before you go any further here. This is a chat for those of us on Notebook who are planning on throwing a literal masquerade gala in a few years and the theme is costumes/cosplays. Just so you’re aware, we are all here trying to organize an actual event in 3-4 years from now. If you wanna do that, then welcome to the party planning committee!! Lol
Tbh if you want to go functional I personally don't have much advice but stay away from pointy high heels, those suck for balance. Also if you're gonna wear something short, wear shorts underneath. I've got a friend who is extremely worried about being harrassed and always wears something underneath her dresses. Jeans, gym shorts, spandex, whatever you're comfortable with. You'll be able to move and jump around more that way. Tights are also good if you want to go that route. And of course make sure it's nothing super long that you can trip on!

We are going formal as all get out, and the dress code is “the more elaborate, the better”. Of course we’re going to throw some fun things in there like, boffer sword fights, murder mystery games, funny awards at the end of the night, and other things.

I'm pulling up in a victorian goth style fit then, and and I've always had a soft spot for murder mystery games and stuff like that
