So sometimes I wear a loose hijab style veil (colloquial use of the term hijab here) to school. I completely understand when people mistake me for a Muslim, and if I know them well I'll correct them (cuz other people don't really need their business in my religion).
But my teacher, who I've reported for racism in the past, pulled me aside from the class to ask if "'this' was [my] burka."
For reference, this is a burka:

I would excuse the mistake if HE WEREN'T MY WORLD RELIGIONS TEACHER. He went to college and majored in religions. I would hope they taught him the difference between niqabs, burkas, hijabs, tichels, etc. Also why does he need to know? We don't know each other that well, and if I hadn't walked away from the conversation I'm worried he would've told me to take it off. The tone seemed… not good. Sort of like the "Imma need you to not" hushed tones when you do something taboo. I don't know.

Yeah, I also need to put up more wards. Probably going to do that today cause my last class ends in an hour and then I don't really have anything all weekend. I meant to do it when I got back from break and then I forgot so if y'all have any ideas lmk

Veiling's not for everyone but if it's something you wanna do it definitely takes time to build up the confidence, intention etc. Take your time if it's a goal of yours! :D

For wards, ^^ I gave my sister four pennies cleansed with holy water to put in the four corners of her new house. The metal + holy water is supposed to cleanse the space of negative energies and attract prosperity and positive energies. If you have special coins you like that could be a good ward for you.

Music, generally. I'm really good at singing, so I usually put on music and sing along, usually while attempting some form of physical cleaning (even if that's just picking up my dirty clothes and putting them in the laundry hamper lmao)

I made a cleansing spray but it smells super strongly like peppermint (I stole some of my roommate's essential oils and he didn't have lemon), and I hate it. I have a witchy friend though so I might ask if they have essential oils
I don't have access to all four corners of my room but I might do the penny thing anyway

Oh…I just realized I haven't showered in like a week ("oh pickles that's so gross" yeah well having depression is no picnic either side note my meds stopped working and I'm nine hours away from my doctor who I've only seen once, and I just got the next three months worth anyway) so that might have something to do with the nightmares sticking around
Gonna do that and then clean my alter tomorrow (hopefully)

did some cleansing last night and did a candle spell to help with the ACT. i think it worked? did a whole manifestation and spellwork and crystals and everything. idk. i think it worked tho, because I feel like I did really well? except the math portion, I guessed for like. a third of it but eh maybe I'll still get a decent score

Ayo I got a thing going on and I want to see if any of you guys have any idea what the heck is going on.
Okay so back in October, two of my good friends were outside later at night and something called to them in my voice. They didn’t go over to where it was, but one friend spoke to it. Which is a huge no go. They then texted me, and found out that it wasn’t me and got the heck out of dodge. I recently found out that the girl who spoke to it was trying to manifest something, and the other one was chosen by Loki and Frigg. Now this brings me to present day. We started talking about it tonight and she came to the conclusion that whatever it was is trying to contact me, by getting them to say something as to where it could get to me. And this is where things get funky. Everyday in the past week, I’ve experienced contact with a variety of different animals. From several cats, to coyotes, a skunk, an owl, a weasel, a black lab, and an armadillo. Every day, one animal shows up and I acknowledge it and move on. It’s brought no harm to me, but should I do something about it? Like I’m Scottish Gaelic. I know a good bit. From plants to creatures you don’t mess with, it’s all been taught to me by family. But this is something I haven’t dealt with yet. So any ideas? Can ya help me figure out what the heck is going on?

Update: we’re adding a blue jay to the animals that have come in contact with me. I would like to hear your thoughts on why they’re following me but it’s kinda cool 😂

But that's about as much as I know since I'm not super familiar with many pantheons and I'm not well versed in deities reaching out
I'd say ask Lee and Owen cause out of everyone still here I think they know the most. And also maybe update your wards in case it's something spicy

The first thought to come to mind when reading your story is ofc na Daoine maithe. The fact that this entity used your voice and pretended to be you points to a dishonest nature. It could be that whatever your friend was trying to manifest let her shields down and let in this extra spirit into your lives on accident. My advice would be to do whatever protection prayers or spells that work for you to ward out evil, and see if these animals keep coming back.
It could be that this tricky spirit is trying to catch your attention through animals, or it could be a completely different spirit from the encounter your friends had. Can I ask what else the friend who talked with the spirit thinks of it? You said you guys came to the conclusion it was trying to reach you. Did she get any other vibes, did the encounter relate to what she was manifesting, was she sure her spell was protected, etc?

I like this exorcism/banishing prayer from the Carmina Gadelica. It's for the Evil Eye specifically, but it can be easily altered to be about whatever malevolent spirits might be floating around you. In English and Gaelic:

I was on my laptop looking at Pinterest rings and outfits, etc. There was absolutely nobody around me and I know there was nothing on my keyboard. However, I eventually bumped something when I went to press the space bar and I look, and it was a small metal number 14. Thank ya Owen, I appreciate it. My friend said the entity trying to get to me was dark. But that the animals were all something good. And In traditional Scots Gaelic cultures, all the animals I mentioned have both good and bad connotations that each represent a part of me. All except one. Which is the blue jay. The blue jay is supposedly the reincarnation of an Ancient Druid. And they’re sent to protect whatever needs to be protected with their magic, and to offer wisdom and guidance. And we are led to believe that the blue jay is the one doing the protecting. It showed up two days ago, and is always outside my window and follows me around campus at college. And the crows. OH MY- Crows. Whenever the blue jay is around there are no crows. Whenever the blue jay leaves for a little bit, the crows fly in. Hey Owen, how does one go about consulting a blue jay? If it is indeed an old Druid following me around, there has to be a way to consult it. Right? I don’t normally work with animals, I’m more of the type of I know all the old stories and the plants are cool and the medical stuff. I don’t normally go near the deities or the animals but they seem to coming to me.
