My friends and I have always had a love for the supernatural. I joined the Wiccan religion sometime in fifth grade, and Owen became a Child of the Night sometime in sixth grade. Angelina has (lowkey) been a Druid her entire life. I don't know any faeries, but they're not common. Faeries have a disdain for human beings.

Hey, question: how can you tell if your house was built on a fairy mound/ are fairy mounds actually a thing?

You might be just human! There are ways to transition into being a vampire if you're not born into it. You also don't have to be pale to be a vampire, that's kind of stereotypical. It's more magic than ethinicity.
Telltale signs include:
-glowing slightly. Nope, actually, I'm the opposite
-radiating toxic energy (a local witch can help you with this). Maybe? I don't know
-going either super crazy, lightheaded, or super tired and faint around blood. Nope.
-appearing slightly faded or translucent in mirrors. Nope.
-when around silver, getting headaches, nausea, bad luck, etc. Nope, perfectly fine around silver.
-don't have an appetite often. Check.
-gets sunburned easily/get hurt on some degree by simple sunlight. I've never gotten a sunburn
-likes raw meat. No thank you, I like mine cooked
-prefers darkness to light. Check

There you go

@bubblegum

You would know if your house was built on a faerie mound. But either way, looking into the history of your property is good for confirming this - if it was once a natural, wooded area rather recently (in the last 150 years or so) and you have experienced generally bad luck or especially things dissapearing with no explanation, or an overgrowth of plants and other natural things, probably. Most faeries aren't the ones in fairy tales. The most common faeries are the ones that will kidnap you (or your young children or pets), claim things for themselves, hate you, be a pest, etc. Respect them if you have them. :)

@bubblegum

Most people don't have any direct interactions with faeries unless they've been stolen (and come back alive.) If you're an enviormentalist, that'll get their positive attention. Like Angels, Demons, etc, Faeries are literally a different species, so constant interactions can give you faerie-like qualities. (Note: Witches, Druids, Vampires are all variations of human.)

@bubblegum

Like I said, if you're interested in becoming anything supernatural of have interest in it, you can PM me. It's a weird little niche but I'm into it, lol. :)

I'm just asking cause
A) hill
B) fairy rings (The grass ones
C) a very strange fairy ring that is kinda large and includes a three trunk tree and I get real bad vibes from
D) The street light (ours only) randomly turning off
E) whenever the light turns out, unexplainable terror grips my spine until I make it to the porch, and I feel like something bad is watching me

@bubblegum

That sounds like either a very small amount of faeries, (1-2) or perhaps a spirit? I always get this clenching feeling when there's a spirit nearby, and the one in my house keeps knocking over my stuff in the middle of the night and making weird tapping noises on my bookshelf.
If you feel okay while doing so, maybe check out that tree. If you get bad vibes stepping inside the faerie ring to get inside the tree, get out of there as fast as you can.

@bubblegum

Spirit as in ghost

I've tried. We were picking up sticks in the yard after a back wind storm, and there were several in the ring. I step in, and I had to get out.

@bubblegum

I myself don't mess with faeries that I didn't invite. Faeries who don't like you (the majority)…have a bad habit of kidnapping. Plus, time works different in the faerie realms, so, uh, I wouldn't. But by all means, keep that tree alive

group

Ya see… one of the main trunks broke way up cause of the storm, and now it "whistles" when there is now wind at all.

@bubblegum

I would crunch it up to either faerie music or a ghost complaining. I can always tell if ghosts are there by scattering numerous small things, and telling them to:
Count all the drops of water in the oceans
Count all the blades of grass on earth
Count all the grains of sand on the beaches
That'll usually banish a ghost. If it continues, (particularly, if it's more insistent) then you've got some faeries.

group

Okay. If I do that, will it piss off the potential fae? Also, I know the house has been blessed by several generations of pastors. Any effects from that?

group

I know this is discombobulated, I'm just trying to get as many facts as I can.

@bubblegum

Pastors are good for demons and vamps, maybe faeries? Faeries don't abide by natural laws.
If you throw the stuff into the circle rather than around, especially if its sparkly, they will most likely see it as a gift.

@bubblegum

No, it's fine. I asked the same questions myself the first time a spirit just chucked itself into my house's vents.
