Do you ever get yelled at for so much crap that you are just numb now? And then when you don't display emotions your parent gets mad because they think that they aren't scaring you enough or that their threat doesn't mean anything to you, but when you do show emotions then they say you are being over dramatic

Today we relearned that I'm a dumbass, I love my friends, I'm a dumbass, I'm squeamish, and I'm a dumbass. It's been an okay day, I guess. I will not be sleeping tonight as I now understand why people refuse to go to bed for fear of nightmares (don't @ me, I just kind of thought those people were wimps unless it was a trauma thing which I want to make clear, this points to self is not)

There's a section of the wheel that lets them live, but it's rigged and they always die
