It all depends on what you consider worth it. For example, if your goal is pursuing happiness, and it makes you happy, it's totally worth it. If your goal is to make good money, depending on your exposure and level of skill, yes it could be worth it. It really varies. Though arts like singing and acting are harder to get a career in, it is never impossible.
