Y'all so I was walking with my dog and I had a sudden HUGE brain moment
So when I was younger, I played Super Smash Brothers Brawl a lot. And since I was girly as fuck, I tried to play as every single female character. Princess Zelda was one of them, but I never really liked her moves so I only played as her a few times. ANYWAY, one of Zelda's moves was to transform into Sheik. Sheik, despite appearing very masculine, is actually Zelda in disguise, but my dumbass nine-year-old self didn't know that. I thought Sheik was a dude despite Zelda transforming into her alter ego, so I called her he/him on the rare occasion that I referred to her. Zelda was still she/her though.
TL;DR the next time someone tries to tell you that genderfluid people aren't valid because they're "just too confusing", at age nine I thought Zelda was genderfluid(without knowing the term genderfluid, obviously) and wasn't confused by it at all. I only thought about this because the thought "if OOT Zelda was gay she'd be very butch" and spiraled from there btw
