It’s an inside joke I have with my best friend, she once created a character who’s personality was almost entirely dedicated to shipping (like shipping two people together, not delivering packages). And so for some reason we both thought it would be funny to give her a bizarre fear, and Carotaphobia was then born. She believes that carrots are actually aliens that attract you and convince you to eat them using their bright colors, but then once you do they take control of your brain rendering you incapable of feeling love and therefore causing her ships to sink. So that’s why carrots are evil.
