todays aesthetic: at the bottom of one of those stalactite caves they've modified for tourists but all of a sudden the lights go out and when light returns the other people are gone and so are the bridges and ropes and changes and god is standing there and they look like that stranger you fell in love with across the subway tracks a few years back (but when the train went by they disappeared) and they embrace you and you realize how completely the earth has swallowed you, the bliss of returning to mineral and dirt, and above your head the crystals look like chandeliers did when you were young and saw through unframed, untainted eyes and you realize you haven't been able to recognize yourself in a mirror for years
